We celebrated our girls christening yesterday and had a lovely afternoon tea. Everyone complimented the gorgeous tea rooms and how beautiful and well kept the gardens were. We all loved the homemade cakes and sandwiches and the staff were sooooo helpful. They even made little rice crispy cakes for the little ones. We've had so many messages saying how lovely the tea rooms were and how our friends and family will be coming back and recommending to their friends. Thankyou so much it was such a special day and you made it so special for us. x x x x x

Cream teas excellent! School House Tea rooms are conveniently situated in village centre with a good selection on the menu. Food and service very good - well worth a visit when in Abbotsbury

A great place to stay for a weekend away. The building has lots of character, the owners are friendly and the area has tonnes of sights you will want to visit. The breakfast is tasty and at just the right quantity. Potty that the croissants aren't fresh, though. Dobbins wall between bathrooms of room 1 and 2 is wafer thin. Sometimes we weren't sure if it was us talking or the people next door. Nights are very quiet. Bed is (almost) too soft

This is the absolute image of a charming house turned restaurant with a lovely garden. The food was all home made. The cheddar cheese scone was very well baked. And the whole meal bread on my fish finger sandwich was very tasty. We didn’t have tea.

SO GOOD! We had the afternoon tea complete with finger sandwiches, scones, and a delightful selection of cakes. Host was very accommodating and had no problem with us requesting a pescatarian version for the sandwiches. If it's not too hot I recommend eating outside in their lovely garden, but even if it is hot every table has an umbrella for shade. If it wasn't good enough already, we were informed on paying that Rishi Sunak would indeed be covering half the bill. What a lad!

Glorious little gem of a place in Abbotsbury village, Dorset. Part thatched building with tables inside & outside on a sunny terrace (set in pretty garden with pond & wishing well) overlooking main street and church tower. Great choice of very reasonably priced & beautifully presented sandwiches, paninis, wraps and light meals (Greek salad (£8.50) was lovely). The afternoon teas looked spectacular (& very large)! Good choice of teas & coffees with wines & beers available too.

Afternoon tea for a group of 11, quick friendly service and the scones are TO DIE FOR - they really went out of their way to cater for our lactose intolerant folks with a cracking set of soy scones!
