Visited last week, Bank Holiday Monday, with my daughter and grandson who was treating us to lunch. We had to ring to say we would be late as traffic was bad but they said that was no problem. We received a lovely welcome from the owner and chef and ordered coffees which were served by his wife. I c
We went on a Monday night when it was quiet. Just us and one other big table. Imo the landlady was very nice and attentive, offered us some playing cards as there was just the two of us, recommended items in the menu / sauces and checked on us throughout. Good food, tasty and well presented at very good prices, just be prepared to step back in time when entering 😁
Food was very good, only thing I'll advise stop using frozen chips , got to be real chips and good selection of ales 🍺
Lovely little place they allways giv u a warm welcome the food is lush and if u have any special needs they go out of they way to try an help deffo recommend 😀
Will visit here again for sure. Lunch after long walk. Less than £8 for the biggest fish & chips ever had. Eclectic choice of seating. I sat in garden under a huge cover. Very confortable lunch
Prawn cocktail to start, ribeye steak for main, quality thick steak cooked to perfection, homemade onion rings and much more.... Food was outstanding, we had a fabulous night and felt truly welcomed and looked after by the owners, great value for money, returning very soon!
