Visited last week, Bank Holiday Monday, with my daughter and grandson who was treating us to lunch. We had to ring to say we would be late as traffic was bad but they said that was no problem. We received a lovely welcome from the owner and chef and ordered coffees which were served by his wife. I c
We went on a Monday night when it was quiet. Just us and one other big table. Imo the landlady was very nice and attentive, offered us some playing cards as there was just the two of us, recommended items in the menu / sauces and checked on us throughout. Food was very good, only thing I'll advise stop using frozen chips , got to be real chips and good selection of ales 🍺
