Renovated not so long ago, making it a hit larger with quite a space for restaurant, this place is dark with leatherish feel but modern.
We went there few times already (mainly as it's convenient location for us) and it has chilled atmosphere with nice staff and lovely food. Fresh and simple it seems, not too heavy neither greasy like you could find in other restaurants around that area) - and that's why we come back here.
It's not 5* for me (I leave that for WOW moments), but it's definitely worth a visit from what Aberdeen has to offer :)
Great find in an upmarket part of Aberdeen. Basement location themed as an old commodity exchange. Enjoy drinks at the bar or head to the restaurant.
Excellent food!
Excellent service with attentive waiter.
We had a very good meal. Everything we ordered was great,:
Starters: prawn (top recommendation), scallop, garlic bread.
Mains: Sunday beef roast (top recommendation), lamb cutlets, ribeye.
Dessert: Chocolate fudge cake and pistachio ice cream was excellent.
Highly recommended restaurant.
Bit disappointed as was so looking forward to the Sunday roast having been before but small portion this time and just not the same. Coffee was lukewarm but perhaps I should have said I wanted my latte hot. I have left 4 stars as it was still tasty however compared to some other customers Sunday roast I felt mine was small lol - I mean goodness it was enough really as we do eat too much but having had a roast before there it sadly was not the same.
The food and drinks were excellent. We had to eat in the bar as the restaurant was full, however there is no complaints with that. Food was slow to arrive but the service was outstanding
Friendly efficient service, both at the bar and at the table, and the food tasted great. The music wasn’t too loud and it was obviously liked by the locals as a place to meet up and swap gossip.
I had the lamb| excellent, and a side salad which had a subtle but tasty dressing. It’s situated in a grand looking area that felt very safe.
Great Sunday lunch with fabulous food and great service from this talented team. Very reasonable prices for such high quality food and nothing was too much trouble. Lovely atmosphere, very warm and welcoming. The beef Sunday lunch was perfect and the side order of Pigs in Blankets was plentiful and a an ideal accompaniment making it idyllic for me. Just the right amount of everything
Great atmosphere, excellent food, and well stocked bar
Lovely evening, great service. Smoked beetroot wasn't smoky but otherwise all good
What a great bar, and the food is excellent. The staff are super friendly and really helpful. The place was buzzing when I went which made for a really good atmosphere. I had the root veg tagine which was so tasty. Probably the best veg meal I have had since I came to Aberdeen. Highly recommended!!
Walked in at 1pm on Sunday for our first visit. They found us a table within the bar which is very nice, Staff were attentive and pleasant and the food was excellent
We'll be back for sure
We enjoyed a brilliant meal and am definitely planning on returning!
Had the BBQ brisket bites to start, sea trout and risotto main and chocolate fudge cake dessert, all of which were delicious.
The only minor thing I wasn't a fan of was the pistachio ice cream, having tried it elsewhere I am usually a fan but not sure on this one. Still, the fudge cake was spot on and didn't last long!
