There are a number of cafes and restaurants in Old Aberdeen this was a great choice for us. The cafe is located upstairs and there is a takeaway downstairs. Once upstairs the cafe is compact, and it was pretty busy. The menu choice was perfect as we were hoping for some soup on a dreich day. We also had coffee and cake to complete our visit. All in all we were well pleased with our visit.
Always a favourite for me, great menu, nice atmosphere and the staff are always friendly. The Tzatziki salad is a favourite for me, and the cakes are amazing, especially the cheesecakes. I think the prices are fair for the quality of food and service. We like to sit in the garden at the back or get take away and enjoy them in the botanics.
£1-£10 if having coffee + cake, £10-20 for lunch etc.
The place is right next to the university and it's got a nice old world charm. It's a great place to hang out with friends and the food never disappoints. Their soups and falafel salad is a must try.

We had the best scones & clotted cream, cream cheese cake and white chocolate brownies ever! All of this delicious baked goods served by an ex fan and now a fun dedicated waitress !! 🥰😊💯
Had an amazing savory crepe, wonderful halloumi fries, and a perfect flat white. Superb lunch. Outdoor seating in back!
Great little cafe, especially for grab and go! Their soup and sandwiches are very nice and the cakes are lovely too. Nice place to sit in if you have more time too. Staff always very friendly :)
Lovely light lunch and coffee. Really great staff. Pricey but delicious.
Such a beautiful place, I didnt realise at first that there was a cafe upstairs, but seriously it's such a shout!

The food and drinks are amazing, filling and for a great price. Also they give you this fruit infused water for after your drink to help get rid of the after taste of coffee etc.
Ordered salmon pasta, chicken penne, hot chocolate and cheese cake( yummiest one I ever had)...loved it.
