First visit and it will not be the last! Loved it! Tasty toastie! I had the bruiser (mac&cheese, haggis and bacon) so good!! And my daughter had mac & cheese!
I can't eat gluten so sometimes going out for food can be a hit or a miss. Melt is definitely a major HIT! Lovely friendly girls. Such a quirky uplifting shop, feels very welcoming and homely. And the food is amazing!!! My completely gluten free classic sarnie made my day �
I'm stoked - a toastie isn't part of my usual diet given I'm gluten free, dairy free and processed food free, buuuuuuuut it was fine just to have a wee cheeky GF vegan toastie ��� besides that, my 8 year old is delighted with her hog & cheese toastie.... yum yum �����

I've been dying to try Melt since it opened but I've never made it up that end of town until day. I have to say the wait and anticipation were totally worth it! I had the Mac Melt which was just incredible with a very generous filling and the wait wasn't long for something cooked to order. The staff were also delightful and friendly too. I will definitely be back!

I was keen to visit Melt before it even opened and I wasn't disappointed. Mechelle is always welcoming and embarrassingly remembers my face now as I visit so regularly! The toasties are amazing. Good food, good service and reasonably priced. You should definitely make it a regular place to visit.
Well, what can I say. The whole Melt project just exudes finesse and attention to detail. I'm really impressed. Homemade recipes from someone who really understands food. And also, you pay for a high quality product- it's worth every penny. And it really exudes a sense of generosity, I get the feeling that the owner wants to give the customer an amazing experience. Well done! :)
I didn't even know I loved cheese toasties until I tried one from Melt. The service is always friendly, the food is mouth wateringly delicious and I love the retro decor. It's fantastic to see small, independent businesses like this thrive in Aberdeen. Keep up the excellent work, Mechelle and team!

Finally visited Melt on 29 December 2016 - this was on my 'to do' list by end 2016. So very glad I did! My husband and I shared a haggis, bacon & cheese melt. Absolutely delicious and absolutely massive! Great value for money. I'm always delighted to support local businesses and to purchase fresh produce made on the premises. I'll definitely be paying a return visit to this treasure trove of ultimate cheese goodness! Put this on your 'to do' list for 2017 - it will be worth it!
Visited their shop last year for the first time and have been daydreaming about it ever since! Went to their stall at Gordon Castle Highland Games and there wasn't as much variety (obviously, with it being a stall) but was chuffed to see a veggie option for the haggis. Delicious - I'll be back soon!
Had the Haggis, cheese and bacon one at the Gordon Castle Highland games on saturday and it was awesome! I have been wanting to have one for ages but aren't in town often. Loved every bite!

I’ve visited Melt on Belmont Street a few times now and oh my lord is the food good or what. Throwing it back to your granny’s living room from the 70s, Melt is a great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner offering up a whole range of dishes. As well as a full menu for all tastes there’s a whole heap of vegan options available for diners to try. And many can swap out some ingredients to make majority of the dishes vegan too which is great. The cheese restaurant has lots to offer for both sweet and savoury and I definitely think you should mix and match if you can. Get a milkshake and brownie to go on your way out from the takeaway on the ground floor. (The restaurant is based on the first floor). We booked when we went as it was heaving so just keep that in mind if you’re booking for an occasion. Walk ins are welcome but book if you can to guarantee a seat. Cheese lovers will adore it.
Toasties are excellent and brownies are the best I've ever had. Nice coffee too. Top notch for a spoilt lunch!

So first of all let me say that the place is rather small and can quickly become crowded. It is, however, not bad at all.
There is a lot of choice and something for everyone as long as you like cheese (They have soups too). I do not think that the prices are expensive. They seem to be average.
My mac & bacon was good and made me full.
Amazing. I have a Bruiser basically every week, but my most recent one was so beautifully cooked that I had to do a review. The macaroni cheese is lovely, the bacon is outstanding, the haggis makes it Scottish, and the whole thing just fills me up so much that I don't need fed for a good few hours after. There's not a single piece of bread that doesn't have filling on it, and it's properly cooked, so it's not just "hot bread". Been eating these every week since Melt first opened, and I'm still not even close to being fed up of it.
I am still drooling over this bad boy, had a "mini" size ham and cheese w mustard. Delish! Def going to make my way through the menu. Friendly staff and quick service.

Great wee spot. We've been in numerous times for toasties and soups and they've been top class. Took my family visiting from Ireland for breakfast here a few months back and the breakfast was massive, we were invited to some tatty scones which were freshly made that day too and we nearly had to be rolled out of the place. The owner was very attentive and the decor was a great talking point, awesome all round.

Love this place! Yes, it's not exactly healthy but it's extremely tasty. The menu is small but I've never been disappointed. Brownies are to die for and the tomato soup is good too. I've never had a coffee or a milkshake but I will one day. Staff are really friendly and chat away, really what more could you want from a sandwich shop? Also, love the 70's/80's decor.
Second visit in a month, the burger with the mozzarella coupled with a cheese sauce for dipping was a great lunch.
I was so stuffed I almost skipped dinner.
I've been to Melt several times (at this newer premises and the old one on Holburn street) and have never been disappointed. The toasties are tasty and so filling. Their milkshakes are the absolute best. You get your moneys worth here and they work with local suppliers. Every time I'm in Aberdeen I go to Melt.
Absolutely love this place, the toasties are huge with lots of fillings. My fave is the Mac n Cheese one and always best to get a brownie, delicious heated up with some fine ice cream. Can’t wait to get back into the shop when we’re allowed.
