Phillips Seafood

Phillips seafood has always been a favorite of past. When ever in the area just had to grab a bowl of bisque and a shrimp poor boy. The wife and I stopped today in our travels and to our surprise the food was horrible. Now with this being said let's review. The staff was poor and pretty lazy as well and not real caring for your service. Oh no soup, the signature product, the staff commented they just did not make it. We ordered the shrimp poor boys and we could only taste the old grease it was cooked in and also was a low priced low grade frozen shrimp. I included a photo of the sandwich but the prawn sauce aka Chipotle sauce was nice. The waffle fries were good except this is my first for getting a frozen French fry in my order. My wife returned her sandwich for a soup and this was mysterious that they now have soup and I just peeled my 4 shrimp out of the heavy breading and tried to enjoy the minced shrimp pieces and not even whole shrimp. We paid over $30 for this

Stopped here for a quick bite and got a shrimp and crab wrap. That was a very delicious wrap. The service was quick, friendly and helpful. Our server also provided courtesy cups (8 oz cups) when we stated we didn't want to buy any drinks. She said to get something to drink. Very pleased with the service and will stop there again when we are traveling.

So I stopped here on my trip south. Really wanted crab cakes. Will not be returning here because I couldn't even finish half of the crab cake because it was horrible and I was not about to be sick for the remainder of my ride. And for the price they charge? I'm punching myself in the face as I write this because I should have check the other ratings and comments FIRST. 30 dollars wasted! I know better next time. Now where are the real crab cakes!!! Lol

What a let down. They should just close this place. I was expecting at least a decent Crab Cake. I didn’t expect amazing but just decent. Cold fries, 3 bites of cole slaw and a very sub par crab cake. All with horribly slow service and someone who incorrectly entered the order 3 times. Find something else.

If I could leave it negative stars I would, this place owes me a refund for their lack of food. $20 for a small piece of fish, six hush puppies, four shrimp and a few waffles fries. I feel ripped off and if you order anything from this place, you’ll feel ripped off too. Save your money, total waste. You’re better off without this sub par excuse for seafood.

This was first and last visit to this place. Con: staff more worried about breaks and flirting then the long line of customers waiting. The fish and chips are below standard they are just gordan/vandekamps fish fillets fried and no seasoning let alone beer flavored. The potion of fries (waffles or not) is not even the size of a whole potato. The tacos or not worth the price charged and taste was nothing special. Pro: the food was at least hot and order was correct. Not sure where the girl got our name from but far from correct. Possibly why so many orders unclaimed at pick up window.
