Well ... you made our Christmas even better!! We’ve never eaten out for Christmas before and what can I say? Lovely food (though massive portions), great service (felt almost like royalty) and such a lovely atmosphere (made so by the staff and other diners alike). We’ve had such a great Christmas Day because of your hard work. We managed to say goodbye to the lady but not the man (with the two young boys). Thank you all and merry Christmas ��

We booked family room pleased with facilities and cleanliness and good value including full english breakfast. We decided to stay further night and Chloe the receptionist on duty was very accomodating in offering us an agreable rate to stay a further night. Would most definately stay again. Fantastic position in Aberdovey food good. All staff very friendly. Sorted any problems we encountered. Thank you Dovey Inn. Sheila Ahern and family.
We had a lovely afternoon in The Dovey, we had nachos and whitebait (very small portion) both very tasty. There is a good selection of drinks available and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Great stay at the dovey inn.... very friendly staff great room with a sea view and food was ...well struggled to finish it..... defiantly will visit again....

Great place, we enjoyed our meals. Food and drinks are reasonably priced. I have stayed here in the past too and was equally impressed. Also nice to dine somewhere that's dog friendly. Recommended.

Decided to have a little get away for the bank holiday weekend, booked this hotel last minute and got a decent deal on it.
I love Aberdovey it's such a beautiful part of the world with relaxing and beautiful scenery. This hotel is perfectly place to make the most of the view and scenery.
Room was huge, beds were very comfortable only gripe about it would be the air-conditioning wasn't working but we opened a window, unfortunately it was rather loud until late in the evening as people were in the pub and next door.
Went to the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. Food was exceptional everything was cooked perfectly and prices are reasonable.
I would whole heartily recommend coming here and visiting this lovely pub / hotel 👍
Excellent Sunday roast mothering Sunday. Always gd service. Manager is lovely and always welcoming. We had two adult roasts, one was made large. (2 Yorkshire puddings.) A child's roast. And delicious pudding. A Sherry trifle Cheesecake! Get it!
The Dovey in Aberdovey seems to be a competitor for the Spoons chain the restaurant was fine as was it's food all three of us enjoyed our meals and the service was good the wife enjoyed her first ever mixed grill my fish and chips were fine with our friends vegetable chilli went down a treat
We stayed in the hotel for one night and had drinks in the bar that night. The room was nice and clean. Quite large and light for the very reasonable price. Staff were approachable and friendly. Only issue we had was in the morning just before 07:00 there were doors banging and people talking quite loudly.
The Sunday dinner roast topside of beef was outstanding.. beef melted in your mouth…. Roast potatoes were beautiful
Plenty of vegetables…. Highly recommended…..

Great evening. Nice food - I had the cauliflower wings followed by a medium rare rump steak, cooked very well. The staff were helpful and friendly and as soon as the Wales - Croatia football match was over, they switched to the rugby. Would definitely go again...
Booking the table online was easy, the servers were all cheerful and welcoming, the service was excellent with the food arriving in a more than reasonable time and the food was cooked perfectly and well presented. A very enjoyable meal out and we will certainly return soon.
Our family of 5 ate our evening meal here and enjoyed the experience. The food was really nice and all 5 meals were enjoyed.
The tables and menus were rather sticky and we waited a little longer than expected but in fairness it was busy. Nice lively atmosphere.
Eight of us had a meal here. The staff made us feel very welcome and the food was spot on.
It's worth booking ahead of time as all of the tables were taken and a lot of guests were being turned away as there was no space.
Wonderful service, prompt service and the food was beautiful. We sat outside with the kids and it was just lovely. Mum had the fish and chips, I had the southern fried chicken burger, kids had the fish fingers. All was eaten. Great value for money. Mine was £9.99 and mums was £13.50 and the kids (2yr + 5yr) who shared the over 5's, was £5.95 I think. So under £40 for all 4 of us to eat and drink, drinks were a glass of wine, pint of Shandy and a glass of squash. Definitely recommend
On holiday for a week, we have came in everyday 😀 Friendly staff. Will be back again. There were two members of staff that stood out. There was 1 behind the bar, and the other member spoke to us about the Mach Run while it was on. Good local knowledge 👌
Stayed 3 days great room meals atmosphere and staff could not do enough for you. Manager so friendly helpful and always smiling .Nothing was too much trouble stayed in room 7 clean en suite breakfast superb. Will be back. Stu and Marie
Me and my mate had a quick pint while waiting for our India food. The dogs loved the treats. Then me, my missus and both brother in laws, came back the next day for food, it was lovely. Thank you.
Amazing pub and a hotel, that is like a TARDIS, Great for families.

Took advantage of the warm October weather and spent the night at the Dovey.
Room was great, king size bed, roll top bath and views of the Dovey estuary.
Food was pretty good too - went the burger route on this occasion.
There's not too much accommodation in Aberdovey so you aren't exactly spoilt for choice. That said, look no further than the Dovey.
A must for every visit to Aberdyfi (twice this visit). Great food (really good roast turkey), good beers on tap, easy to book, very friendly service, nice atmosphere and right over from the water. Lovely old historic pub too.
Friendly manager managed to accommodate us explaining long wait due to staff shortages. Tbh it was not that long and happy to wait.
Kids loved their burgers, especially the vegan burger (second best tasted in 5 years!).
Steak pie was average, saved by nice gravy, Wish I had gone for roast as yorkies looked fab on other plates.
Table not clean, felt sticky, put it down to staff shortages.
Good value food, decent portions and friendly atmosphere.
