Visited it ages ago under its previous custodians and I have to say, the couple who took it over have waved a magic wand over this place. Under new management since December 2023 and it’s amazing. Good selection of cask beers. Family friendly. Excellent pizzas. Quiz on Wednesday, music on Saturday. This is our local pub and the new ownership have have transformed a once tired and stale pub into a thriving life and soul of the village. We only called in for Sunday lunch time drinks, but the pub was quite busy. Service was a little slow but friendly. Good choice of beers, and lagers. Wouldrecommend a visit.
Although I didn't eat in this time I was delighted to be able to go for a drink in the pub in my village again. The reopening was a much needed event.

Interesting that this pub is the only pub with this name, USP. Built around 1770 and sits in the attractive village of Aberford.
