Nice local cafe in the town square of Abingdon. Indoor and outdoor seating. Toilet facilities. The place takes its name from the local tradition of throwing baked buns off the top of the tower during special occasions.
Lovely accomdating staff! They make you feel right at home. The way they treat their regular customers is amazing. Great prices and a very lovely interior. If you are looking for your regular coffee shop you have found it.
A nice café with friendly staff. A great place to sit with friends for a coffee in the morning. Dogs can sit outside and there is a good amount of outside seating. The only downside for the outdoor seating is it being close to the road but this isn't an issue most of the time. There is a toilet ins
Lovely little cafe where I had lunch in the midst of wonderful weather. I think, England has such cute, little cafes all around which not only look good but they serve amazing food as well. We had chicken sandwiches, ham sandwiches with onions & mozarella cheese and was amazing.
I am finding these
It’s a delightful spot with a lovely atmosphere. The food, tea and coffee was very good just a little slow to bring the food to the table. But we weren’t particularly in a hurry, so it wasn’t a problem.
Great latte and a nice piece of banana cake. Loved the interior decor and nice seating area outside too. Friendly staff. The place to go for coffee and cake in Abingdon.
We've had the most wonderful afternoon tea at Throwing Buns ♡ the staff we amazing, so attentive and not pushy at all. We stayed and chatted for a long time and all of the staff were just great. Of course the afternoon tea was delicious and there was plenty of it and the tea and coffee tasted really
I had a lovely afternoon tea in this cute little cafè. The food was really nice and the owners were very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely go back! 😊
Always good there so welcoming really like popping in
A nice hideout in the heart of Abingdon. Can get very busy at times, though. Try your luck on a work day instead of weekend.
Great coffee place with good traditional service. Toastie was very good.
This is a nice coffee shop. I had a pot of tea and a toastie, and both were good. The server was a bit scattered, but cheerful and happy to help when I reminded her what I needed, so I would say the service was good overall. Everyone has off days.
Love their coro ation chicken 😃 im massive pain and always asking to take out all raisins and they always nice about it
This is a lovely place for coffee & a bun. Good range of buns/cakes but does sarnies and hot food too.
Have been going here for a few years now. Friendly service, children welcomed, relaxing environment/atmosphere and a cosy feel to the place.

Still the best place in town. Friendly, welcomi
Amazing luxury hot chocolate and home made gluten free cake in a warm, welcoming and comfortable place.
Very nice chatting owners; the other clients are not aware about the other customers . They are talking too laud for such small space in the cafe.
A very happy and relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend
I always try and support local independent businesses and this is a great little place. Competitively priced serving excellent coffee, cakes, sandwiches etc. It's right in the heart of Abingdon the service is great, really friendly and polite. It beats the Costa's, Starbucks etc by a country mile..
