The Narrows - Wetherspoons - Abingdon - Photo album

I truly liked this pub. There's just something about it. Friendly and relaxed. Ok, I've been to loads of spoons around the country, and they are all a nice familiar home from home. But, this spoons has a special vibe. Ticks all the expected spoons boxes with a little Friendly extra 😀 😍🥳
Standard Wetherspoons set in an old 1954 post office and sorting station. Lots of postal stamps and other post memorabilia on the walls. Plenty of seating throughout. Lots of food options and good selection of beers/ales. Order through the Wetherspoons app to get food/drinks delivered to your table.
A very decent place. Has wheelchair access. Suitable for a person with autism. This place has wheelchair access to both levels of the ground floor and an accessible toilet. I've been here several times. I think it's fairly good for a wheelchair user but I will list potential issues later. The atmo
Lovely venue, very quiet when we visited for breakfast. No early morning drinkers 😁. Great breakfast and the service was excellent. Only problem was the coffee machine wasn't working properly so I couldn't get a mocha and had to settle for a lovely latte instead 😊.
Quite a new Wether's, approximately 7 years old. Nice and clean when I visited on the 10/10/21. Good quality ale served by a female that lives in Henley
Great food sensibly priced, very good bar staff.
Great range of breakfasts, but you will get what you pay for. Not top draw quality but very good value for money.
Great value and very good service, well done
I'm French and this were our HQ when we were living in England with my friend! The staff is cool, the food is good and cheap... I miss this place so much 🥹
Great fish Friday. Quirky and informative info on the post office and telephone exchange in years gone by AND a carpet in the Spoons carpet book.
It's a Wetherspoons.. but it's a good one! Food arrived very quickly, the staff were friendly and happy to help - it's not ideal for parking, being on the main drag, but there is free parking after 6pm very close by. Inside, the pub was tidy, modern and looked good with the choice of finishes on t
Not very busy when we visited but they seemed short of staff. Had a couple of people get served before us at the bar but food and drinks are great prices.
Came here when visiting friends for a lunch out. Pleasant staff. Didn't have to wait too long for our drinks and food. Ordered via the app rather than at the bar, but it wasn't overly busy when we went. The food is very reasonable in price and I enjoyed what I had. The chips are lovely and fluffy.
My local spoons - good interior design for a Whetherspoons and similar quality service as expected (if not better as the establishment is less busy than city alternatives). Staff has changed over the years but has been usually very nice and friendly. Food is as standard for a Wetherspoons establish
