Pollypollard. I love the food. They asked if i had a sore finger and indeed it was. The kitchen staff were very nice as i was invited in to cook my own tea. My favourite dish was the little bowl of water you clean your fingers in, that was a tastey lemon wedge.
Mr Lee mills. Very nice food and very good value for money...nice quaint place to eat with a lovely atmosphere! Very friendly staff and lots of choices of food from the menu..highly recommended!
The staff here are friendly and quick with food, which is amazing, nice atmosphere with a homely feel to it makes you feel welcome! Yummy food, can't complain!
This was a quick visit just to see what the Haworth art gallery had to offer.
It was a free open day, quite busy.
The Souvenir shop was located at the entrance.
The ladies at the Souvenir shop were really friendly.
Tiffany Glass was the main theme located upstairs.
A highlight for me was the stained glass window located on the stairway.
I have attached an image of just one of the many features of the window.
There is a cafe.
The house has a vast history and has a beautiful garden for a walk.
There are toilets but I didn't use them.
There is a car park which is free.
I will return to give a more in-depth review at a later date when I am not on a time restricted visit.
Great place to go and visit. It has restrooms and a cafe. Got a carpark and nice grounds to walk in and admire the scenery. It's free entry and plenty to look at.
What a hidden Gem. I only live 20 mins away but never knew it existed until one of its patrons and antiquarian Eric Knowles mentioned it whilst he appeared on pointless celebrities. There were some great artwork exhibits too
Very impressive collection of Tiffany Glass and a lovely place to hold a small wedding.
Lovely displays and well written history of Tiffany's
Only taint on the visit was the lady in the gift shop that you have to walk through to get in and out.
She became quite snooty when it was apparent we were not buying anything. Maybe she was just having a bad day 🤔 i hope so
A lovely place to meet friends. The lunch I had was delicious, well presented and reasonably priced. My friends were also suitably impressed. We stayed for quite a long time but we weren't rushed. I shall be visiting again.
Lovely building, very friendly staff. Great exhibition on featuring local artists. Highly recommended.
Situated in a lovely park just south of Accrington Town Centre, the Haworth Art Gallery is a must see - and the premier attraction of Hyndburn District with its' display of beautiful iridescent Tiffany Glassware. As well as the Tiffany Glass, this small gallery also has a selection of equally beautiful paintings on display. If you are hungry, try to get a place at the onsite Gallery Kitchen (beware, it can be very popular), for some delicious grub, & you can finish your visit with a gift from the Gallery Shop. The staff are friendly, as well as knowledgeable, & I would definitely recommend Haworth Art Gallery as a half day trip - and repeated trips just to sit & admire the art in one of the galleries - or the scenery outside ! Oh, and the Gallery is free to enter too (donations welcome !)
Nice free art gallery housed in a beautiful old building in Accrington. It's in a lovely park with views across the local countryside. It has a marvellous collection of Tiffany glass and displays about the previous owners of the house. There's a limited display due to covid restrictions, so you won't see many paintings, but what you will see is stunning. It's got a cafe, shop, toilets and carpark. You can also visit the gardens, park and artist's studio when you're here.
Beautiful venue. Great affordable menu in a welcoming environment. Exhibition small but exquisite and very interesting.
WOW a must go to experience. The Tiffany Glass is beautifully displayed and the staff so welcoming and knowledgeable and it's FREE. Do yourself
a favour and VISIT this venue
A lovely gallery. Sadly no temporary exhibition and the cafe was fully booked. Nice grounds and small free car park.
Stunning building. Beautiful artworks and Tiffany glass exhibition and a beautiful restraunt and bar.
Nice grounds to walk around including a Rose Garden. Lot of history with art and sculpture. Got a cafe and rest room. Easy access with carpark. Dog friendly. It is known for Tiffany Glass.
We had our wedding here this weekend. It was amazing! The food, service and especially the staff were the best. I would definitely recommend booking your wedding here.
Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff, really nice exhibits also child friendly with a play/colouring room. We also went for afternoon tea which was excellent and very reasonable priced. Highly recommend
Very interesting particularly the Tiffany glass collection. The building itself is also interesting as it's "arts and craft" inspires
A good place to pass a couple of hours on a wet day, excellent food in the cafe. Need to check there's not a wedding on before travelling.
A fabulous wedding in a quirky and comfortable place. Staff and food were excellent
