Had dinner tonight with my wife. We enjoyed the food, very tasty. Friendly waiter and quick service. We will definitely return. Keep it up !

After looking at the ratings I was interested in getting this however I was extremely disappointed. The portions are way too small of the naan it’s absolutely ridiculous when we opened the foil and found the tiniest 4 naans (which was considered to be 1 naan; I have uploaded the picture). If you go to any other Indian restaurant you get 2 big naans which is considered 1 naan. Especially for the price, very disappointing. In addition, the butter chicken was not appetizing at all, it was way too sweet and the chicken was extremely hard to cut with a knife. Overall I won’t be coming back here and I most definitely recommend any other Indian restaurant over this, as portions are small and more expensive at the clay oven.
I am editing this review after seeing the reply of the restaurant: we were infact not told whatsoever the butter chicken would be sweet as I would have not ordered it then. And as for the naan portions, if you go into any other Indian restaurant you get 2 naans (so it would be 8 small pieces) for the price you are giving one. Instead of offering some sort of consoles the restaurant has replied to my review with sarcasm and disrespect. Even more unhappy at this point.

Everyone recommends this place, so I had to try. Where I was impressed with the timely manner of the foods’ preparation, and the freshness of the food including the delicious samosas with mint chutney, the butter chicken was a bit of a let down. I should have read previous reviews to avoid the dish as it does come sweet - like sugary sweet. Majority of butter chicken dishes I’ve eaten including in many states of India, though sweet, still have a savoury spiciness to them. This dish did not.

Yesterday was the first time that I tried the cuisine from The Clay Oven at an event that we organized. The owner has made me humbled because of his generosity, detail and the energy that he put in to make the dishes he provided unique. I even witnessed him take care of customers in front of me before and I was very gratified by the comfort of his accommodations for them. The food was amazing and it left a lot of good impressions by our guests who are looking forward to coming to the Clay Oven for another visit. Keep up the good work!

We tried this restaurant for the first time last week and we already got it again because we missed it! Some of the best Indian takeout I've ever had, the butter chicken is actually quite comparable to Bombay Bhel (which was my favourite Indian takeout, and famous for their butter chicken, but I don't live close to it)! I am very excited to have a VERY good Indian restaurant with fabulous butter chicken and the Bombay Alo was also fantastic, we all got the same 2 dishes both times because we enjoyed it so much! I look forward to trying other dishes sometime!

A hidden gem, that’s what this place was. We were visiting a farm house in Halton hills during the long weekend and my wife saw this place while driving around in Acton. The folks here were extremely nice and even though they were only taking take out orders, they let us dine in. The place was neat and maintained even though they were not entertaining dine ins. I hadn’t expected much, apart from the food to be of decent quality, but boy o boy was i pleasantly surprised. The food was superb. Portions were more than ample and the taste was like most authentic indian cuisine i had chance to sample. The daal and the mix veg were having a distinct flavour and the peas rice was cooked in some flavourful broth. All in all it was a very good dining experience and you should definitely give this place a chance.

Super friendly restaurant with amazing food. The Lamb Bhuna was one of the best I have ever had. Full of flavour, soft lamb and just a bit of spice. But everything was great, onion bhajis, vegetable pakoras, amazing light and crispy popadoms. Really couldn’t fault anything. Pricing was very reasonable too. First time here tonight but will definitely be back.
