Cibo

I visit this cafe once a week (twice when it's felt like a long week). Great coffee made by great humans. The point system through the Cibo app means a free coffee every now and then which is a bonus! The store is always clean and tidy, and you can tell that Paul and his staff take great pride in not only making delicious coffee, but also providing exceptional customer service.

My husband ordered a coffee yesterday afternoon before a business meeting and the Barista (young male) was on his phone. After waiting 7 mins (there was only one other customer waiting) he asked politely if his coffee would be long as if not he would have his money back. The Barista then “spat the dummy” and made the most disgusting coffee and slammed it down on the counter snarling “I am sorry you had to wait more than 4 minutes for your coffee mate”. My husband replied that you don’t need to throw it at me. We as a family use Cibo cafes all over Adelaide for their great coffee and friendly service and were appalled that a member of staff could behave in this manner.

My sister-in-law Sarah introduced me to this cafe. It wasn't here the last time I was in Adelaide, but she swears by it. Yes, the coffee is good, but honestly, Australians know how to make a good coffee, so it's hard to judge from the competition. What I like is the location. You can sit outside, it's close to Rundle Street and the park.
