The Sandwich Hut

Went to The Sandwich Hut to try out their roast dinner menu. Hits the spot! Quick and friendly service. Ordered a medium combination roast of the lamb + pork along with their soft and delicious vegetables, covered generously in warm and thick gravy. Very filling, and happy to come again for a quick lunch.

Located in the food court - Myer centre Ingredients always look fresh so if you’re after a sandwich or salad, it’ll taste great! The roasts meats and vegetables are melt in your mouth kind! They also have crispy skin chips ready to go in a paper cup. The service staff are quick and it’s not a long wait if you’re limited in time for a quick lunch. However servings are quite skimpy for the price though.

I ate at “the sandwich hut” in Westfield, Modbury. They advertise a “VEGAN BURGER” which is not a burger AT ALL. If you’d tell me it’s a roasted veggies sandwich then I shouldn’t have any space for complaining but this is not what I paid for . On top of that, the veggies in the sandwich are fridge cold and the sun dried tomate is chewy and excessive. Very disappointed.

Anzac Day, bought 3 x pre made chicken schnitzel rolls. Asked to be heated. Sat down to eat, couldn’t bite through the bacon, chicken was tough and not usual white colour of chicken, bread was warm, cheese was not melted and chicken was ice cold. The three bites I had did not taste right. $35 of lunch went in the bin. Won’t go back.
