Yummy Box

Ordered Szechwan beef, Stir-fried potatoes, eggplant and peppers, Sweet and sour fish, Salted fish and chicken tofu.(pictures 1-4) The food were so nice. Really worth the price. Just the waiting time was too long. I went there around 7pm. And it was really busy in the restaurant. Strongly suggest to go there earlier or later than 7pm. Plenty of parking spaces available at the door.

I have a love/hate relationship with Yummy Box at Park Holme. ‘Love’ because (IMO)it’s truly is the best Asian restaurant in the area. Great variety on the menu, and I’ve never been disappointed with taste or freshness of dishes in both dine in or take away. Their Fish with Ginger and Shallots is the best I’ve ever had, and the Peking Pork and dumplings are also exceptionally tasty. The ‘Hate’ is that it seems the kitchen is disorganised and doesn’t handle “busy” very well. Often there’s a very long wait for food if ordered via take away, and if the restaurant has a lot of patrons when dining in the food will come out in no real order and often after very long wait times. I love their food, but after a few experiences, I’ll now only ever order or dine in very early to avoid the long wait times

The service was terrible. The wait was an hour and we had been told 30 minutes which we had to ask in the first place and when we asked how long it would be it was always an additional 5-10 minutes. There was no apology when the food was served. They didn’t take our name and all customers were getting confused for takeaway. The food was good but not great. I’ve only been twice and I won’t be going back for third time lucky. The first time they got my order wrong and I’d ordered through Menulog

The food was decent and right next door to the Dumpling King who should rename themselves or make decent dumplings. Yummy Box dumplings were cheaper and better looking and There were quite nice. I would eat here again. My only concern for this restaurant is that they over cook the food for takeaway. Vegetables will get soggy as mine did but the flavour was nice.
