Really great food, well presented, yummy, and REALLY good value! The girl serving tables was really great, she brought out my brother's birthday cake, was genuinely lovely, and obviously really good at her job! Thanks so much 😊

Well what can i say! Great staff!!!!!!!! Always willing to put them selves out for you! Celebrated 2 18ths here now they literally couldn't of done more. Celebrated with us yet still professional! Exceptional food, amazing staff, great old school pub feel! Its family run and honestly couldn't suggest them more. Yes doesn't have all the mods and cods trendy bars offer these days but if its quality of good pub atmosphere like years ago this is your place. We have 2 more celebrations coming up and I can assure you this is where we are going. It's safe! Friendly and willing to accommodate anyone. I want to thank each and every staff member!

Absolutely brilliant, we called in on Sunday after walking down from our campsite half hour away, what a really nice welcome we got, after 2 pints, we felt like a local, highly recommend this pub, plus, its normal pub prices, all the other bars are about £4 a pint☹

Good sports bar. Booths with own TV where you can ask them to put on whichever sport you fancy. Friendly staff. Mostly lagers but decent prices. Food isnt great would avoid if possible. Definitely go if you want to watch the footie

Lovely bar with more tvs than currys you can see a screen wherever you sit so brilliant for sports fans. The food is excellent with an extensive menu. Large selection of drinks also available.

Three of us had lunch there 7th March 2018, after visiting this pub several times in the past. Lunch hour wasn’t over busy but the service was first class, after getting our drinks and settling down to check out the menu. There is a good choice of diverse foods to select from. Our choices where burger with cheese and bacon, a gammon meal and finally rump steak. All the three meals came with lovely chunky chips and the steak and gammon both came with onion rigs a piece of black pudding, tomato and mushrooms. More than enough for any carnivore. Whilst eating our meal, we had a visit from the chef to check if we where satisfied with our choices. Now I know this wouldn’t happen if there was a lot of lunchtime punters. But a very welcome service from good staff, have to say the steak was perfectly cooked. And literally melted in ones mouth. Recommend anybody to take time to call in for lunch. Difficult to understand previous posts on here criticising the establishment and its food. As I said earlier we have been several times and never once been disappointed.

Came her with my nieces today (opening day) place is done out really well and is any sports lovers dream! Staff where polite and attentive advising us on what food would be best for the little ones. I also have a nut allergy and they helped me through the menu to ensure what I ordered was but free! Food was fab! I ordered sticky ribs which where juicy and tender and the BBQ sauce was Delish! I also had sticky toffee pudding for desert which was fabulous and served in a tea cup with custard on the top! Thanks you champs had a lovely lunch and will be returning !!!

the food there is very nice...hot and service excellent ...i like rum and ginger beer..they did not have any ginger beer only ginger ale ,that goes in scotch not the same as beer ... but she went out and bought some for me,,,that is true service!!!!

the food is nice, nothing spectacular or anything, just nice but the atmosphere is always lively and it is very accessible for those find such things difficult though it being better signed would be ideal.
