Last night of a fantastic weeks holiday in Whitby and we went to The Forge for a meal. We sampled a number of their Gins which were delicious lol. Our food was lovely, presentation was really nice and everything was piping hot. Service was excellent and staff very friendly and polite. We liked it for the fact they're dog friendly too which makes a difference as we have 3 dogs. Overall an great night and fab food and would recommend you give it a try.

Just spent a weekend here and it was perfect. Apparently we had the smallest room but it had everything we needed for a two night stay and the views from the two windows were magnificent. The food was fantastic Last but certainly not least the staff were friendly and let you know all you needed to know without being asked or being pushy. We will be back.

Lovely pub. Great menu, great drinks. Only met the one member of staff, young man at the bar, he was friendly and informative. Dogs allowed, a bonus! Would definitely recommend you give it a visit!

Food was delicious, meat was fantastically cooked to perfection. We stopped off on our way back from our holiday to have Sunday lunch, The staff were great too! Professional & helpful. They even did a baby portion free of charge!!! Which had more than enough in for our little boy. Beautifully decorated, well kept & clean premises with lovely views from the windows of the local animals! Would definitely go back if we happen to pass that way again in the future. You get what you pay for... Quality!!

We were looking for a place to eat just outside Whitby and came across The Forge Inn, which is approximately 3 miles out of the town. The food was amazing , all home cooked and cooked to perfection. We will definitely be returning when we're back in the area.

My partner and I stayed here for one night before embarking on a walk to Pickering the following day. It was a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere with great food (dinner and breakfast), great beers and entertainment (would definitely recommend the Tuesday quiz and bingo night!). Absolutely perfect for what we needed.

Three of us stayed for one night and were very impressed. The staff were excellent and nothing was too much for Sam who was our host. The Inn is very clean and the suite we had was very spacious and very comfortable. Food was very nice and I would recommend the cod and chips and the full English breakfast. The Dortmunder German beer is also excellent. Parking is adjacent to the inn and is plentiful. The Forge is a few miles out of Whitby so you need a car to get in and out if town. Thr Forge is a gem of a place we'll worth visiting.

From the moment we arrived the service was outstanding. Our bags were carried to our room, an amazing welcome. The room was great, less a hotel room and more our room at home if we spent the time cleaning and tidying. The location is outstanding, the sheep might possibly be the best bit. We ate out (something I now massively regret). We had a night cap and pudding in the bar. The cheesecake was the finest I've ever tasted. Not cheap. But worth it.

Fantastic place. Stayed at a cottage down the road and ate here twice as it was so good. The service was impeccable both times, really friendly, polite, checked in on us re food and drink. The food was fab, home cooked great pies and amazing deserts. Obviously made on site and generous too. I can’t wait to come back next time we’re here!

Stopped for a family evening meal. The pub inside was traditionally decorated and welcoming. The food was excellent - great choice and cooked beautifully. The desserts where the best - The homemade cheesecake was sublime. Was a choice of beers, 1 being a traditional hand pull. Enjoyed having a choice from the usual Theakstons. The atmosphere was relaxed and the service was perfect. Next time I’m in the area I’d come back here.

Lovely friendly pub. It's a free house so good choice of beer. We parked up and had a local walk which was lovely as Aislaby has great views down the Esk Valley. We then watched the football at the pub and then ate Sunday lunch. Very friendly staff and a nice Sunday roast. Nice clean toilets also. Highly recommended.
