Lovely hotel. Great location on the seafront. We stayed in room 14 ( a superior room ) which had 4 Windows facing the sea. Beautiful. Clean and bright with a lovely bar. After eating the breakfast we were sorry we didn't have dinner there too! The staff were exceptional especially the restaurant and house keeping staff. Highly recommend this little gem.on the Suffolk coast.
Lovely hotel, staff are excellent, I stayed as a last-minute booking and the room was beautiful and spotless, room service and food very good. I liked it so much I booked for another night, moving from my original room to the last room available due to a cancellation, room number one, which was just as nice, my only gripe was the pigeon living just outside the window of that room, and it was SOOOOOO noisy. Just a small thing, as I have a problem with noise, but it was not enough to detract from the excellence of the hotel overall.
Our room, no 18, was amazing, lovely sea view. Spotlessly clean throughout. All the staff, without exception, were very friendly. The food was amazing although one night there was only one thing I liked as there's a lot of fish on the menu and I can't eat it! Hopefully we will come back. Thank you for an amazing few days.
Always a joy to come here, room 28 is lovely and large and sea view is fab, as is the food and lovely staff.
Lovely seafront aspect. Lots of tables. Nice menu reasonably priced. Very nice staff and great service.
We in a party of 6 at the Christmas Dinner Dance which we thoroughly enjoyed. Good food and friendly staff. I was particularly impressed that even though two couples from the evening had booked rooms at different times under different surnames, they had noticed we were part of the same party and automatically seated us together for breakfast. That's good customer service!
Just returned from a wonderful birthday stay, got a very good offer deal, everything first class, from the accommodation to the glorious food & excellent service
Looking to possibly book a Christmas break
Just home from a two day/night stay at an amazing lovely hotel. We stayed in Darfield House and what a gorgeous room. Staff very attentive, food awesome (cooked to such a high standard) and the cream tea included an extra bonus. Thanks for making our celebrations of 30 years together special x
It was a beautiful meal and would recommend it to any one also the views are beautiful to
Love this Hotel, great food, great rooms, wonderful location and very relaxing
Was at The wentworth with hubby yesterday for christmas lunch, it was lovely delicious food, great chilled atmosphere and very christmassy, we often come to The wentworth for meals, drinks and tea and scones, see you in 2017.
Very good time at The Wentworth Hotel. We stayed in The Annexe. Everything worked! No complaintes whatsoever. Dinner and breakfast the next day was delicious. I would definitely stay here again. I went with a friend who has stayed here many times.
Gr8 hotel in Aldeburgh. Air of nostalgia about the hotel, old fashioned but in a good way. Staff really friendly and welcoming, plenty of public areas to lounge in . Nice cosy bar and lovely dining room. Rooms a good size and nicely furnished. Lovely atmosphere throughout the whole building. Quiet, and understated. If you like chrome and modernity, this is probably not the place for you.
A delightful old restaurant situated right on the beach at Aldeburgh. The food and service were excellent.
Older style costal hotel with some charm. Bar and restaurant open to all. Nice terrace on the sea. Only visited, didn't stay.
Just had a very relaxing break here. The hotel, staff, food and location are absolutely perfect. This is our 6th stay at this hotel. The moment you walk in it feels like a second home.
Visited for Sunday lunch. Excellent menu that included Roast Beef and locally caught fish (flounder). It was hard to choose from what was on offer. This hotel is elegantly decorated and clearly maintained to a high standard. The service and staff were excellent and very attentive, but unobtrusive. We finished with coffee in the lounge overlooking the seafront. There is an outside seating area, for drinks, coffee etc. and a customers' car park.
Absolutely brilliant hotel. Staff were faultless, clean and large rooms. Breakfast the best we have ever had, dinner stunning local crab :)
Had a one night stay in room 2 (first floor, sea view) and we can’t fault it. Room was beautiful, bed incredibly comfy and had a fantastic night’s sleep (amazingly quiet!). The staff were all lovely, attentive but not in your face and did everything with a smile. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel (excellent DB&B rate, well worth it) and the food was spot on. Plenty of seafood options (which was part of the draw) which were cooked to perfection (I had scallops and then ray wing, wife had all the crab!). Will definitely recommend and book again!
We had afternoon tea here when all the local tea rooms had closed. It was a delightful experience - lots of different interesting places to sit including conservatory, bar, lounge, garden and terrace, all equipped with extremely comfortable furniture. It was a bit pricey and for what we paid I’d have expected two scones rather than one with the cream tea. The prawn sandwich was outstanding with large, firm prawns on good bread. Plenty of hot water and milk provided for the tea. The service was extremely polite and pleasant and the lavatories were beautiful.
As I can not have dairy I was able to get an oat milk mocha, lovle fire to enjoy the warmth from, the guests were very happy to chat and most of all dog friendly.
Great place for a Sunday lunch... The staff were very helpful.
A lovely afternoon tea with my wife...very pleasant surroundings and great service...
Cătălin, Rin, Joe & Valentina looked after us beautifully. In my daughters words they were kind, good at chatting and patient’. Brilliant service - we enjoyed a family lunch for 10 and it was all delicious from start to finish. The attention to detail - with drinks on the terrace, lunch in the restaurant and then dessert and coffees in the garden!
Perfect setting to celebrate my birthday 🥳
Our only feedback is that a veggie roast would be a great addition to a Sunday menu otherwise the very best Sunday birthday celebration. Thanks to the team and we look forward to coming back soon! ☺️
We visited to celebrate my sister's birthday - met up for a family afternoon tea.
Lovely food - and they catered for my husband's dairy allergy with no fuss at all - even offering non dairy 'milk' to go with his coffee.
We were looked after by a charming young man - wish I could remember his name. He sorted everything for us including getting the birthday cake lit and delivered.
We will be back again - thank you
Another excellent stay at the Wentworth. The hotel has comfy beds, good showers, lovely staff and great food (breakfast is worth a particular mention) but more than that it has charm, which is rare these days. Curled up on a comfy sofa, in front of a real fire and being looked after by the staff - what more could you ask for? We will be back and are happy to recommend.
We were in annex over the road and it was fabulous overlooking a delightful patio garden. The room was spacious, modern clean and had quality complimentary extras.
The hotel has parking.
It's a very good location. Overlooks beach.
Breakfasts were excellent. Dinners not quite as good but we were on a deal where a three course meal plus bread was only £10 a head... Amazing value
The staff were pleasant and very helpful.
Lovely common areas full of antiques and tasteful furnishings
Really really good overall
Went for lunch only. Nice place. Good food. Good service. Good atmosphere and nice little bar.
