Butt Inn - Aldermaston Wharf - Photo album

We had passed this restaurant so many times in the past year visiting between Oxford and Basingstoke. Each time we said we must make a plan to go in. On the day we finally moved back to Basingstoke we finally stopped. And boy am I glad we did. The food was absolutely delicious. We chose items off th
Stopped today for lunch having never tried previously despite passing regularly. Delicious burgers at a reasonable price, very friendly and welcoming staff, and the garden had some games to keep the 3yr old entertained. Will definitely be back again!
Very popular pub on village outskirts. Enormous portions. Menu varied making the most of local produce. Reasonably priced. Would be lovely to sit outside on a warm summer nightç
The is a beautiful country pub with huge outdoor and indoor seating. The new Landlady is very welcoming and has been busy putting her stamp on this place... Very clean and the attention to detail is clear to see. A really pleasant venue to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet on a hot summer day or
Random, stop off on the way back from the seaside, and I'm really glad we did. Lovely welcoming staff (squeezed us in), great food, drinks, and nice interior. Would definitely pop in again if we're passing. 5/5 👍
Stopped in having been here under previous incarnations (apparently taken over 6 months ago). Well kept beer (Timothy Taylor Landlord and Fuller's London Pride) and a good looking menu. Might have to come back to try some of the tasty looking pies. Had chicken schnitzel with garlic sauce and skin on
Went for a quiz night and really impressed. Great atmosphere, and the fella running the quiz really gets everyone involved. Good beer on tap. The young lady serving was very nice and friendly. The older lady could cheer up a little. But lovely place and will happily return
Had a great time at the butt inn. Plenty of space with a quite area where it’s a tranquil atmosphere and a lovely restaurant menu. Then an equally great space for watching the world cup. Ordered 3 buttermilk chicken burger with chimichurri mayonnaise with skin on chips. It was so nice especially the
We had lunch here after a spur-of-the-moment decision to eat out. This pub has changed ownership since we were last here, but it was still a pleasant experience. The menu is not extensive but enough to choose from, all traditional pub meals. Unfortunately they were out of our first choice - the pie
Wonderful Sunday Roast lunch, generous portions, excellent pork belly and the vegetables were 3v3n better. Wrapped up with the best Sticky Toffee Pudding in the area. Delicious.
Certainly the best meal we've had this holiday, if not the best ever! Definitely one of the best fish pies I've ever tasted, and served by the friendliest staff, don't even stop to think about it, this is the one to go for.
My family and I went for lunch, we had the grandchildren so it was quite full on. Staff were brilliant. Very friendly especially towards the children. We left after some lovely food leaving quite a mess but the staff were very good about it. Excellent service and food.
We have had many family meals at Ths Butt Inn and are never disappointed. Today we tried out their summer special. A meal plus a drink for £10. Fish and chips with a pint for me and hubby for £20 in total - excellent value 👌. Piping hot and delicious. The garden is lovely and it was great to sit out
Visited here for a meal Sunday afternoon after a busy day cooking at work! Excellent Sunday roast and vegetarian meal! Sat outside in the lovely garden in the sunshine. Very pleasant attentive staff, excellent meal and very reasonable. Thankyou.
What a delightful pub with the most welcoming staff. The team was amazing with settling us in and talking us through the menu. When our food arrived it was presented beautifully and we enjoyed every last mouthful. You can tell the pub is the heart of village and we felt very much at home. We can not
Just had a wonderful lunch at this lovely Inn in the heart of Aldermaston. The Sunday roast was recommended to us and didn’t disappoint, the vegetables in particular were varied and beautifully cooked. The linguine was fantastic, and an abundant portion. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and
Great menu and lovely food; friendly atmosphere and good service HOWEVER, the Manageress was a little bit too determined to take our order and then later to clear up around us and encourage our departure. I don’t do this to my guests in my home and don’t think it’s warranted on an evening out.
