My new favourite pub, great atmosphere reasonably price drinks, staff are friendly and welcoming.

What can I say about The Golden Lion, I visit Manor Park in Aldershot 3 times a year and every time I visit the staff always make me feel welcome it's a wonderful place and I couldn't wish for a better pub. The Golden Lion is a friendly cheerful outstanding establishment with wonderful staff I would recommend this pub to anyone who's visiting Aldershot 👍👍👍👍👍

Well cooked top quality meat, 6 different vegetables, Yorkshire pudding and a jug of lovely gravy.

Fantastic Sunday Lunch. Have been 4 times now and great every time. 7 varieties of veg and a medium portion is a large anywhere else. One day I might have room left for one of their great looking deserts.
I'm the worst person to leave a review on a pub, being tee total. Oh! And a vegetarian!...So please forgive my perspective.
I love this place and the way I am always welcomed here. There is always a warm family welcome and I can't ask more than that.
If you're looking for a bistro pub...Look elsewhere. This pub is the heartbeat of this community and it's menu reflects that.

The food is gorgeous and really reasonably priced. Easily the best roast in town, with a yummy variety of veg on a big plate. If you're veggie, phone ahead and they'll make sure there's some veggie friendly roast potatoes (the standard ones are cooked in meat fat). Spicy burgers, fresh salad, warming paninis. Just lovely.
Amazing service, delicious roasts and value for money.
Sadly cheap brand wine was a turn off but other alternatives were had.
Will definitely be back soon

Sunday dinner excellent and choice of small, medium and large. Medium was plenty. Washed down with an excellent pint of London Pride. What more could a man want.
By far the best roast for miles. You'll need to book. Veggie options available Inc all roasties cooked seperatly etc if you let them know.

Lots of good memories here in the late 1970's ! It's still going but haven't been in there since ! The landlord & landlady back then were fabulous, warm people

Always come here for Sunday Roast when we are in Aldershot. It's all good. But make a rezzy, you'll need to find your name on a table, then order your drink at the bar and pay for your lunch..
