Review The Three Compasses - Alfold

A very friendly, sociable little pub, recently reopened I think. The staff are friendly and a good selection of beers are on offer. I dropped in on a Friday evening. There was a mobile fish and chip shop outside.

Father and son, family run pub with outstandingly friendly atmosphere. Food absolutely exceeded our expectations; everything home made and locally sourced from the melt in the mouth Ox Cheeks to the fluffy Belgium Chocolate Ice Cream. My mate also a perfectly cooked succulent Burger and creamy fresh Strawberry Ice Cream Cheese Cake. Came for Top Gear; stayed for the Pub!

COVID compliant with plenty of signage and spacing between tables. Staff were friendly and very accommodating. Food was lovely and well recommended. Assistant Manager made a lovely Latte (had 3). Worth a drive out to visit, drink and eat.

A really pleasant little pub we just popped in for a quick drink on our way past. The staff seem super friendly. the pub does have a play area outside and has outside seating also. The pub serves hot food we did not have time to sample it. There were posters and signs up in the bar indicating that they also have live music on in the evenings sometimes. The front part seems to consist of two rooms. And the toilets where clean and well maintained.

Was closed but now reopening in November 22. 5 years ago: Good quality food and ales. Frienly staff. Lovely garden area and seating inside & out. Are currently refurbishing the indoor restaurant area.

The new owners have really turned our local around. The choice of drinks is great and the food is SO much better than before. The barman's knowledge of gins may be encouraging me down a path to ruin, but I'm sticking to my belief that a little bit of what you fancy does you good!

Well worth going out of your way for! Visited for lunch while out riding motorcycle. Apparently under new management recently. Welcoming staff, excellent service and outstanding food. Views of jets doing stunts over the airfield an added bonus.

Lovely little country pub, we popped in for lunch after a track day next door at Dunsfold Aerodrome, they had Otter beer on tap and the food was excellent pub food at reasonable prices. Good service too. Would happily pop in again when in the area.
