The food, and service, is always great here but the afternoon tea we had yesterday was sublime. The home made cakes are especially good. We cannot recommend this lovely tea room enough.

Went here for a catch up with my friend for the first time, found it to be a lovely friendly cafe. Had afternoon tea which was just perfect all freshly made and to your choice from sandwiches down to the cakes all home made. We will be back and I would highly recommend this little cafe.
Been a regular customer for a while.
Very friendly and very good food and hot beverage.
Would recommend.
This little place is a real treat for vegans in the area, we had such a great range of choices. All delicious. We will be back. Thank you so much for taking care of us today.
Very busy place but lovely friendly atmosphere, tasty homemade cakes and really good children's afternoon tea. Highly recommended.
We passed this wee place many times and didn't think to go in. If only we had known what we were missing! The best food in the area and the best burgers I have ever tried. All the food is home cooked and absolutely delicious! You get a lovely warm welcome too.
Found this little gem on the Internet while researching places to stop for lunch or coffee and cake stop while en route on a bike ride from coast to coast. Wow what a find.... the food was beautifully home made very tasty and we managed to sit outside in the sun. The staff were very friendly and helpful a pleasurable visit all round.... would recommend it to anyone.
we hope you had a successful Australian evening and all cheesecake went
The most amazing fresh fruit scones, Homemade Jam& cream... were the best. Lovely afternoon chilled out. Thank you both

Fantastic food , friendly staff , poppy the dog enjoyed her treat too !!
The best little cafe in Cumbria. Great, home made food. Varied menu and a warm welcome from Brenda and Mike
Lovely welcoming little cafe. Many vegan options and perfect service. Will definitely be back.
The best tearooms I've been to. The food is all home cooked, lots of choice and varies from week to week! Staff are very friendly and owners Brenda and Mike always make you feel very welcome.
I've met lots of lovely people by coming here and made some lovely friends too. There's gifts and crafts to buy and even a second hand book sale raising money for local area.
Great food and service would highly recommend
The best coffee and walnut cake!! And Lottie enjoyed the chicken bits too.
Tasty good food. Delicious scones. Great to shelter from the elements and leave recharged to continue the visit!
This is a proper old schoold seaside cafe and we love it!
Great selection of simple quality meals, great tea and coffee and some amazing home made cakes! It's clear this place is a local institution and we wish it well for the years to come!
Lovely tea room run by lovely people. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. I love the quirky teapots, but the dessert was even better!
Our little dog was made welcome as well, so it's definitely a great place.
Fantastic breakfast, set us up for the day. Really friendly helpful staff. Lovely atmosphere, even our dog got treats. Highly recommend a visit
I really like this tea room. The atmosphere is relaxed and the food is excellent . They have a separate vegan menu which is the reason I go there. Its also very dog friendly. The staff are very helpful and friendly.
Mum was visiting from East Anglia and wanted to see if the Isle of Man was visible from the Cumbrian coast, Allonby was recommended.
Upon arrival we stopped for a cuppa and cake at this quaint little tearooms that doubled as a gift shop and souvenir shop.
We very much enjoyed our visit, but left the rollator in the car opting for a walking stick and helping arm. Mum did need to be mindful of the step up to the toilets.
The highlight of my visit was them stocking Taylors Coffee, especially my favourite Lava Java. This went down well with my lemon and ginger cake.
The tearooms are located directly opposite the beach, where there's a brilliant multi use games area and various pieces of equipment for the younger or more energetic amongst us.
Mum could see the Isle of Man so it was mission accomplished on this occasion.
Wonderful recent visit here. It far exceeded what I consider 'a tearoom' (never usually impressed) so we were keen to leave a Google review. It's worth a drive out to as there's not an abundance of places to eat in this neck of the woods of any particular note. The New Orleans style seabass on the specials board was sublime, coffees were great and beyond this the owners were very hospitable and accomodating towards the 9 of us, including 3 noisy children plus dog (one of us well behaved at least). With grateful thanks.
This place was so good we went twice (breakfast and lunch). Very cosy and welcoming, lovely food, great value, they even gave our dog a treat! We will be back.
What an amazing little cafe! All of the staff were so friendly and accommodating, even though the were very busy they took the time to make sure you felt welcome. Food was very good, the apple crumble dessert with cream was spectacular!
We're from the States and in Cumbria visiting family when we stopped at this charming little tea shop in Allonby. I'm so glad we did! We had delicious tea and cakes. It was the best pastry I've ever had! Mike was charming and delightful to talk to. I hope we get to go back and visit again. After my trip to Cumbria, England, I've been spoiled with England's lovely food, pastries, and chocolate. Thank you for a wonderful visit and experience!
The menu here is far more interesting than your average tea room. Always good vegan/veggie options. Lovely friendly service. And a huge range of home made cakes, again a little beyond the ordinary. Right by the sea.
Met my bestie for a big breakfast here and it was amazing, especially the sausage, lovely staff ❤️
This is a fantastic little cafe in the small seaside town of Allonby. This is one of the least visited stretches of English coastline in the lee of Dumfries and Galloway. Interesting excursion from The Lakes.
Lovely tea room visited after a long journey wonderful tea and cakes, and lovely big teapot of welcome tea recommend ! Also a good menu range and friendly staff.
My friend and I had the English breakfast the sausage is bought from Mitchell's butchers in workington and was delicious a lovely cooked meal .
Excellent Italian theme night, Food was great and crack was good👍
Friendly efficient service and excellent freshly made food. The Cumberland sausage and mushroom baguette was top notch. Would highly recommend.
Always make you feel at ease. Make our dog special, especially with the sausage 😋 treats.
Best pie I've tasted in a long time. Highly recommend it . In fact even If are in Whitby it's worth the cross country for the pie.
