Beautiful gardens with stunning Waterfall and fountains. Definitely well worth a visit. Give yourself plenty of time as there is much to see. The swings amongst the cherry orchard is a nice place to sit and relax. The poison garden tour is a must. Barbara your tour guide is very knowledgeable and funny. Gift shop and cafe on site.
Absolutely incredible garden. Completely symmetrical, I was blown away. Staff are extremely friendly and the poisonous garden is definitely worth a visit. Plenty of places to sit and get away from the world in peace for a while. The fountains are amazing. I would certainly make a special journey to visit the garden. The cafe is available on site with toilets and plenty of seating. Parking outside the garden is £3.50 all day and you must pay for entrance, you save money booking online.
Lovely day there with my mam for her birthday today. Gardens are well kept, with plenty of flowers and lots of butterflies to see, even in September. We did the poison garden tour, which was very informative, and the guide Michael, was very knowledgeable, answered any questions, and was helpful and took our photos at the gates too. The water features are lovely, however, the cascade which happens every half hour was a bit disappointing as only a few fountains and jets seemed to work. Shop was well stocked, then headed to the treehouse for lunch.
Lovely day out for three generations for my mum's birthday. Bit of a rainy day but didn't dampen our spirits.
Cafe food was really tasty, queues were a bit long and prices varied depending in what you wanted. Plenty of seating options.
Will have to return to see the Cherry Blossoms in bloom.
Visiting the end of September wasn't the best choice , most of the plants on site had already finished their blooming, and the weather wasn't the best either. But must admit, a group of cheeky ducks was amazing and as well enjoyed the poison garden, and the bamboo maize was amazing. I didn't expect that. Hope to come back when cherry trees bloom and then again when the whole garden is in bloom . Hopefully soon
This is a great place for all ages. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the water fountain display is amazing. The cafe does nice food and drinks which are reasonably priced and everywhere was clean. The poison garden tour is definitely worth doing and it's included in the entrance price. Highly recommended 5*
Truly breathtaking. The gardens are absolutely exquisite and there are loads of beautiful fountains there, too. The Poison Garden tours are a real treat, too. Can't wait to go back in summer when everything is in bloom.
Great place to bring the whole family, not just the flower and plant lovers. Lovely water features. Some that the children and big kids can interact with. ( take spare clothes or towel) Large grassed area for picnics and to dry of. Sit and ride Toy tractors for the children, a maze. and it 's own beach area with deck chairs. Nice cafe with good food. Garden centre. Then there is the tree house restaurant. Which on our visit was being prepared for a wedding. Extra cost's include crazy golf , the new fairy village ( which looks amazing) and the castle. Bit sad that you can't just take a photo of the castle without paying, to go through the gate .
A lovely sunny day, the garden has a easy layout which you can follow and see everything that is has to offer. The poison garden was the main reason me and my family came. A fascinating place just wished they had discussed more of the plants they had in there as there was only a few locked up (which they spoke about) just a lot of the free growing ones weren't overly spoken about. The fountains were stunning and other features just as pretty. Take the children to the serpent garden definitely worth the surprise!!!! The roots and shoots allotment was a stunning attraction with large and well growing veg that had me 'green' with envy!!! A lovely day out next time will visit the castle but the gardens are worth the day visit!
Went with no expectations and absolutely loved it. The entrance is absolutely breathtaking, as are the different sections of the garden. If we were a little more prepared we would have taken a change of clothes for the kids so they could get more involved with the water sculptures. I'd also recommend the poison garden tour - tour guides were so engaging. We will be back!
