One of the best chippies I’ve ever been to. Cooked to perfection and good (too good!) portions. Staff are friendly and it’s good value.

Probably the best fish n chip shop around for miles, I live in sandbach and we have 5,, chippys and yet I travel all the way to alsager it's that good, you get over kill amounts of chips,and the fish is not only bigger than anywhere locally but actually taste better and fresher...staff are great,the two brothers are top notch to chat too and the lady's always have a smile, this is how chip shops should be, the only down sides are prices are slightly higher than most in the area but you pay for the best as best doesn't come cheap, and one last negative and it's personal,they don't do rice? I like chips curry n rice lol ....other than this it's a 9/10...

Always chatty and friendly. Great food good portions reasonable prices. Would Always recommend.

I love this chippy, it's about as good as it gets and I've been going for as long as I can remember (if they were open in the 80's then for that long). Back when my grandparents were alive I use to go and get fish and chips for us all and then sit and talk to them around their kitchen table. Now we have moved up here I'm getting to do the same thing with my little family. Keep up the good work I love your fresh fish and chips and you have never once given bad service.

I've a new found love for macaroons, from the minute we walked in to the second we walked out we had fantastic service from all members of staff. The views are fantastic. The food is lovely and who doesn't like scones? I would love to go back and try the evening menus as it looks exquisite.
It's been along time since I've had fish n chips and omg what I've just had from lakeside was beautiful. Tasted amazing and the portion sizes were huge. Cheers guys will deffo be back
Went here for fish and chips, enjoyed it a lot. Good prices and generous portions. I had the small fish and finished it, but I think I'd need a flatbed truck for the large one.
One member of staff has got some sweet tats, too. The "day of the dead" skull tat was my favourite A+
First time coming here, and wow what can I say, first off I had to wait for my fish to be cooked (this is a great thing) when it arrived after a friendly staff member gave it to me , I opened it up to find a decent size fish and a small portion of chips (what I had asked for), can see what the rave reviews are about now! Thanks lakeside !
Excellent long established fish and chip, pizza etc shop. Good opening hours. They cut their own chips which always taste better than chippies who buy them in ready cut.

Absolutely marvellous! Fish portions are large as are the chip portions. Piping hot! Hubby loves the sausage in batter. Very pleasant staff, friendly, helpful and full of smiles. Prices are good too!
