Lovely cafe. Very friendly and helpful but the highlight was fresh from the oven corned beef and veg pies, superb.
Beautiful Pork Loin, Stuffing and Apple Sauce Bap with Gravy coated chips. Lovely staff and a warm friendly vibe. Beautiful x
Had a fabulous breakfast here, great value for money efficient and friendly staff. Will definitely return.
A nice tea room with a basic but fairly varied menu. Prices are reasonable. The place was clean and welcoming and the staff were friendly. I was served quickly and with a smile. I ordered the "mini all day breakfast" - 2 rashers of bacon, 2 eggs and 2 pieces of toast. I wasn't given a choice of
Excellent little cafe in Alston. We arrived after walking from the source of the South Tyne river on a cold and wet day, trousers covered in mud. We were welcomed into the cafe and we had a lovely meal each. Highly recommend!
Came here to meet distant family in Jan, we were catered for very well for a largish party, even though the place was busy to start with. Lovely friendly staff and owner who bent over backwards to cater for us. 2 vegans and 1 coeliac. All given very nice homecooked food, not the usual plastic wrap b
Nice little cafe which has limited choices, but excellent value. Ideal for couples or very small groups inside, outdoor tables also available. Nice selection of gifts as well.
Wonder hidden gem....had a lovely vegan lunch ..and coffee ...(non vegan lunch available too!) ...very friendly staff. My dog got treats too...will definitely come back ☺️
A lovely little tea room in Alston. Friendly staff for whom nothing was too much trouble...my son wanted a fried egg sandwich :) Warm and cosy, and very reasonably priced - Β£17.50 for a full English, 2 fried egg sarnies, pot of tea for 2 and a special hot chocolate :)
Great all day breakfast with a pot of tea or good cup of coffee. Visit two or three times a year, usually out of season and it's always busy. Try it and you'll understand why. Top marks.
Love this place lovely food very friendly staff very reasonable prices. Came here 3 years ago and made sure we called in when we were back in the area. Sorry for the big time gap!
Unique atmosphere, even down to asking you to swap seats, coffee was good, great company, only cafe I now where everyone joined in the conversation, all table's were full, the lady had a unique and fun way of dealing with her customers and how busy she was xx
