Stopped in for a coffee and toilet round 11:30 Sunday morning. Beautiful location, pub has great music playing low ceiling and fire place which creates an atmosphere. Great walk along the disused railway line from Oakemoor. Recommended.

My friends and I went to the Talbot to avoid the Alton Towers food rush, we were welcome and well looked after by the governor Linden and entertained by the Cat cookie. My friends and I cannot stress what a wonderful atmosphere this was, and how friendly the staff were. The choice and knowledge of beers was exceptional and my friends and I cannot wait to return. We would highly recommend this if you’re looking for a lovely bite, friendly atmosphere and great craft beer. 10/10

The Bridge House and The Talbot are the same establishments. I am so glad that we decided to cancel out reservation in the Alton Towers Resort Restaurant and head out to this pub. The food was amazing, great atmosphere and service and nice to get away from the resort for an evening. The portion sizes were very big and worth the price!

We were staying at Alton towers and the food there just wasn't cutting it for us so we ended up visiting this lovely pub for dinner. It was perfect. You can tell it's all home made and fresh. The food was very good quality and really good value for money. They have a huge grass area which is great for the kids. The setting and people were all lovely. We ended up going twice because we enjoyed it so much.

Good food for an average price, very scenic outdoor seating which makes it very enjoyable. The indoor of the pub is well designed and has a cosy feel. This pub now seems to be owned by the same owner as the one next door, thus the only food served at lunch is from ‘the hatch’. Could do with some more bins in the seating areas to avoid people from littering. Outdoor seating is dog friendly and tables are well spread out. Staff are friendly, however it is basically self serve even for drinks.

Love the fries tasty and crispy also the fish chips, lasagna is a bit salty but delicious still. The environment is beautiful and cozy, but the food price is a bit high, we spent £37 for the fish chips and lasagna.

Dropped kids off at Alton Towers for the day and stopped off here to grab some breakfast. We were there as soon as it opened so the fires weren't yet lit and it was pretty cold. I wished I'd brought a coat with me. The food was good and it's a lovely, old pub with plenty of charm. Overall worth a visit but maybe bring a coat if you go for breakfast!

First time at this really lovely pub for a Sunday carvery in a really picturesque part of the county. Great service, lots of staff. Reasonably priced and good quality delicious food. Great selection of beer. Enjoyed it all sat in front of the toasty fire with our tired dogs. Will be back. Highly recommend
