Spur of the moment visit, so didn’t book any of the tours, but my father and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Runway Visitor Park. We stayed for around 2 hours and the parking cost £5, which I think is reasonable considering there is no entry fee. We had a hotdog and fries which came to around £16.40 for both. The toilet was really clean. Staff in the cafe and the gift shop were really friendly. We will definitely be visiting again, but next time booking a tour. Would highly recommend visiting. You could even just take a picnic and sit on the seats or grass weather permitting. We got to see the A380 take off too, so that was a bonus.

This is such a brilliant day out! If you went for the full day it would cost £12 for a car. But for the amount of entertainment on offer it's actually quite good value. You could stay for a full day if the weather is good. You can bring a picnic and just watch the planes all day. There is also a climbing frame and lots of space for children so it's a fun day out for all the family. For transport buffs there is also the Concorde experience (yes 204 feet of engineering brilliance) so if you are in the area and the weather is good then get yourself down there!

I was here for an event, and we were based in the Concorde hanger. It's not often you exhibit under one of the most famous planes in the world and the most famous Concorde. The venue is amazing and the tour of the plane was the fastest 20 minutes ever. I could have spent hours listening to the guide talking about the plane, it's achievements and the records it broke and still holds. The plane itself is the one the Queen flew and the flagship of the British Airways fleet.

Amazing place to visit. Located at the Manchester Airport this is a great place to watch planes departing and arriving. They also have a beautiful Concorde Hanger and for a fee you can take a tour. They have other planes on site like the Trident Three, Nimrod and Avro Jet 100. There is a gift shop, cafe and plenty of things for the kids to do. We loved our visit and think this is a must see for Aviation Lovers or a day out with the family. Entrance is free but parking is for a fee.

My child has autism and loves anything transport related. He really enjoyed coming to view the planes taking off and landing. We also booked a short concord tour. The guide was very informative and made the tour interesting for children and adults alike. When it's not raining there is plenty of outdoor space for picnics and an outdoor play area and a plane for you to go in and have a look. There is a cafe which is reasonably priced for where you are.

First time back in approximately 10 years, wow what a transformation, fantastic viewing terrace, the commentary on aircraft arriving and departing is an excellent idea, aircraft details is a great help. A really good cafe that is reasonably priced with concord in the same building. Very good aviation shop, the car park is £5 for two hours, £10 for four hours and £12 for over four hours. Really enjoyable day out.

We visited as we were nearby in the Peak District and have previously been to the Airport pub at the other end of the runway. Thought we'd check this place out after our walk. Alright place for watching the planes. The car park cost is a little excessive though, £5 for 2 hours is the minimum tariff. Average for a short stay, but if you're planning on visiting for less than 2 hours you'd be better off looking at alternatives (mainly the airport pub) which has cheaper parking and arguably better vantage points for planes approaching and departing the airport. There is also a well known spot that can be found with a little research that has free parking and very good views.

Fantastic day out on the Concord tour, well worth every penny, there's a lovely cafe onsite, very reasonable prices, a gift shop and TV room showing videos of the history on Concord, love the seats which comes from a passenger plane, nice touch. There's a large viewing area to watch the planes landing and taking off. Well worth a visit and will definitely be going again.

Hadn’t been for a long time and it was a great day out with the kids. There’s a huge play area and a fun fair which wasn’t open with it being winter. Having live commentary about every aircraft arriving and leaving, age destination etc was interesting. £12 for a vehicle all day is a cheap day out snd the cafe was reasonably priced too. I can see it getting busy in the summer but there’s loads of room.

What a fantastic place. This is a great day out, for what is provided you couldn’t get much cheaper for the family. It goes by parking charge starting from £2 and it goes up from there but not by much, it’s completely disabled friendly, each area is accessible with ease including viewing platform, park, cafe and shop. I have attached a video showing how you get onto the viewing point, it’s a nice wide path. Within the viewing point there are multiple benches, and even some that are under cover so the rain wouldn’t spoil your day, the park is fantastic for kids and all the staff were lovely. We didn’t have food so can’t comment on that but it looked great! you can see Concorde for free and to go on it starts from just £6 which I think is more than reasonable! There are clean toilets and facilities on site which were nice and clean. The gift shop is full of reasonably priced goods to! The staff member in there today who’s name was Paul was lovely, welcoming and just ended our visit well! The only downside was it wasn’t dog friendly but can imagine some owners would spoil this for the rest of them and not clean up mess on the parks grass viewing area. Thank you so much! I highly recommend and will be returning.
