I just wanted to give a big shout out to the staff from Steve's Fish Bar. They were amazing!! My daughter & her friends were caught in the rain on Saturday while her and the mothers were on a walk. The staff moved tables around to accommodate the moms, tots & pushchairs, as they took shelter in the
A wonderful fish and chip shop. Excellent staff. The food is cooked to a very high standard. Well worth a visit any time day or week.
Took my grandchildren for a lunch at steves fish bar alvaston Friday 18th August, lovely staff food service atmosphere food served quickly and fresh they had a lovely time , it's the first time I have been to the cafe and il be visiting again.
Found this little gem a few days ago already visited twice!
Good food great value and amazing staff.
One of the best around, prices have gone up however don't think thats just here its everywhere.
That said, its good portion sizes with a nice selection of traditional fish and chip shop style options. Had bad experiences of kebab meat and Steve's consistently delivers no issues.

Lovely fish and chips. Not greasy at all. Crispy Batter on huge fillet of fish of really good quality. Always busy here and can see why.
Lovely fish and chip shop , very reasonably priced you also recieve a very generous amount of food. Helpful if you need a quick food stop an are in a rush as food service is very quick.

I go there every Tuesday lunchtime. The generous cod, freshly thinly battered is always piping hot and delicious. I can't understand why it's not listed in reviews as one of the best in Derby.
Great chip shop! I usually go for the doner meat and chips and can't fault it. Not keen on the homemade chilli but that's just me. If you do go park round the back loads of room
First time visiting today, we sat in the diner section. Portions are absolutely fantastic, food was priced well and tasted good too. Staff were friendly and attentive and food arrived at the table promptly, would definitely visit again!
I love eating here, great food and drink. Staff are so lovely and helpful. I've always had a great experience dining in this place.
