Lake Road Kitchen - Ambleside - Photo album

I had the pleasure of dining at this exquisite restaurant in the heart of the Lake District, and it was truly a culinary delight. My experience was elevated by the incredible 8-sample menu, that left my taste buds dancing with joy. The food was not only delicious but also impeccably presented, showc
What a great restaurant, deserving of a Michelin star. The 8-course menu was superb - the amount of preparation, the quality ingredients, the attention to detail and most of all the flavours were superb. It was lovely to have Nick and Thomas, the chef's, bring out the dishes and talk about them an
One of the best meals we have ever had. We had the 8 course tasting menu and added the Prawn cutlet sandwich, which was my husband's favourite! And we had some of the best bread we have ever eaten. Two small criticisms: Slightly too protein heavy (would have liked more carbs/ veggies) and the decor
What a wonderful meal! Every dish we had was excellent down to the finest details. While every course was indeed amazing, the tiger prawn was the unexpected star - since I'm generally not a huge fan of prawn. The tastes just worked so well together with the perfectly cooked prawn. The service was g
Genuinely one of the best dining experiences we have had in our lifetime. Every member of staff gave an incredibly insightful introduction to each course, clearly demonstrating their passion and the love that went into every meal. All incredibly friendly & welcoming also. Every. Single. Dish. Was p

We loved every minute here, from the food to the hospitality. We will definitely come
Absolutely gorgeous! Me and my partner came here as an end to our hols and what a ending it was. Lovely waiting on staff and chefs (funny and a dash cheeky ;)), very well informed on the dishes/wines and the top it off the decor was perfect for the mood; not to mention how mind blowing the food was.
An absolutely fantastic experience. Very unassuming from the outside, you enter a world of surprises. We had booked this as a special treat to crown our time in the Lake District and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice! The service was lovely, taking us through our 8 course menu at the per
