Three Shires Inn - Ambleside - Photo album

Stayed her twice now, each time did not want to leave. Tony and James are incredibly welcoming, the food is exceptional. A huge variety of beers and spirits. Our room so brilliant I am not going to say the name in case people book it and I can't get in again, we are planning another visit soon. Th
Had a nice lunch here, it's a nice little no frills pub. It's becoming harder and harder to find somewhere in the lakes where you can get some decent food and a drink without getting your eyes taken out. So please don't change 🙃
Such a wonderful experience! Lovely clean rooms with a really comfortable bed. Breakfast and dinner were just what you need for a day walking, hearty food with generous portions. Staff were so kind and welcoming. Note there are lots of walks to do around the hotel so it doesn’t matter if you don’t h
The Three Shires Inn and the team behind it are phenomenal. Every time we visit, the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Their rooms are beautiful and have stunning views from every window. Their chef is passionate about local produce and the food is incredible. We love it so much, we recently held
Just had a two nite stay and was perfect, room was lovely and great view. breakfast was spot on and the location is ideal for walks. Will def stay again
Stayed here for the three shires race which conveniently started and ended in the field opposite. Really nice team, small business, great beers, good well presented food and comfortable room. Awesome breakfast. A great place for a couple away or a group of friends. Fantastic walking (and running
Lovely pub in a fairly remote location in Little Langdale (although easily accessible from Ambleside or Grasmere). Excellent food - a cut above standard pub fare - and friendly service. I had an excellent cheese soufflé followed by a venison burger. Dog friendly in one of the main rooms. Efficie
Lovely place to stay in The Langdales. Clean, homely, friendly and the food is good. Parking available on site.
Nice little pub went in for a drink last Sunday seemed clean and the logburner going was a nice touch 4* as one of our group was searching his car boot and I presume it was the owner/manager came out and told him you can't park in carpark to walk not sure if there is a fell or poi near there (there
Haven't stayed but I expect it's very nice as the food and service were very nice
Great little pub stop on a long walk. Warm fire and plenty of seats in and outside.
We have recently returned from a wonderful 3 night stay. We had booked a superior twin room but on arrival, were given the Busk Pike Suite. It was spotlessly clean and comfortable. However, a very welcome addition would be black out blinds/ curtains throughout, including the front door. The sunshine
Great pub to find halfway round a walk with really great food
Stayed for 4 nights and loved everything about the Inn. The staff went the extra mile to make our stay very memorable. We will certainly be back.
Lovely country pub hidden away. We had to queue for 10 minutes to get a drink and order food but it was not a problem. There was a big party booked in for Sunday lunch, and the bar is tiny. Food was lovely. Very nice little pub.
We have stayed for the weekend 26th - 28th April 2024 , super place , friendly staff , great location , good food and drink , plenty of great walks and fells nearby
Stayed for one night for work. I cannot fault it. The room was light, bright and spotlessly clean. The bathroom was massive and the shower was one of the best I have used. Food and service was first class. menu is small but that's good as it means it is not ping food! Maybe a bottle of water in the
Friendly staff, lovely beer and a very tasty fish butty.
Really nice pub and the food was excellent.
