Cannot recommend a visit to drop enough, and even joining their wine club! James's knowledge is really high quality, his recommendations are spot on with the type of wine you like and he is extremely generous with his pouring! Plus if you are very lucky he has a stock of meats and cheeses you can order so you just need to sit back, relax with a glass (or bottle.... it usually turns into a bottle). James is also family orientated and this has helped up a great deal knowing Drop is an environment we can sit outside on a lovely summers day with our dog and toddler. Or even nab the best seat in the house the lovely bay window. We did one of his wine club evenings recently and the value for money was great, and we will be booking again soon.

An absolutely brilliant place to spend an evening. We went to Drop for the first time last night and we were blown away by the whole experience. The wine itself is first class, however it is taken to another level entirely by James (the owner) who knows his stock encyclopaedically and brings the whole thing to life. The bread, cheese, olives, charcuterie and chocolates were all equally delicious. We had one of the best evenings out we’ve enjoyed in ages and will definitely be back soon. If you are looking for a place where the wine is the star turn, Drop is definitely for you 🥂
