Harlees Fish And Chips

We have ordered from Harlees many times and the food is honestly amazing! We ordered this evening, and after the delivery driver had left and we opened the bag we realised that one of the meals was missing; we tried to find a contact number online but there isn’t one listed for the Amesbury branch on the website, or anywhere else it seems. I tried a number I found on another website, but that one didn’t seem to work. That meant my partner had to drive to the restaurant and query it himself. The issue was resolved and I have no problem ordering with them again; however, it would make life much easier for situations like these if there was a contact number listed online or on the receipt, or somewhere!

Harlees is a chip shop perfect for its community! The staff provide an excellent service and are always polite and friendly. Considering all meals are cooked to order, even on their busiest nights, I've only ever recieved the best quality fish and chips! Menu items range from classic battered cod, haddock or plaice to chilli beef loaded chips and pineapple fritters! There are a few options for vegetarians as well! Some items are a little pricier than other chip shops but once you sink your teeth into the grub you'll know why! My go-to order: Garden Burger with Cheese Battered Sausage Regular Chips Curry Sauce Keep up the quality service and quality food guys!

Since the lockdown Harlees has really stepped up theirs game. For us easily the best fish and chips in Amesbury and probably for miles around. Orders are in general cooked to order, their chips are not just the thin end of the spud and we have found them to be well cooked and hot. Fish batter is crispy golden and the fish portions are generous. Their are menu choices for kids and seasonal specials such as pigs in blankets. Not the cheapest price around but worth the price and delivery is available for three squid, excuse the pun! Additional;- Harlees have won national awards for their products!! Easily the best fish and chip shop certainly in my area of Wiltshire.

I don't get why the rating isn't higher for this place... the plaice we ordered was huge, enough to share, and the batter was crispy and the fish was soft and creamy. The onion rings were crispy too 👌 They finished prepping our meal quick and warned that might be a few minutes later than predicted - it wasn't. Super friendly server too
