Catching the ferry? This is a great place to pause, catch some sleep and ready yourself for the next part of your journey. Room only, self check in and easy to book. Kettle, complimentary tea and coffee are provided in your room with access to the guest lounge that has a fridge, kettle etc, knives and forks for when you've had the short walk around the corner to grab fish and chips. I stayed in Cabin 1, a double room with a view of the sea, towels and hair dryer are also provided. Super comfy bed and I was able to snuggle down and get a good sleep. En Suite is stocked with hand wash and the shower is perfect. The TV in the room has a selection of channels with options for you to log into Netflix and even has Sky News! Parking is available out the front and around the corner which is free. There are plenty of local bars for a drink or two and supermarkets are a short drive away to grab essentials. I brought a porridge pot for breakfast. The hosts Howard and Jason are easily contacted and the lovely Joany is around also to top things up if you're staying more than one night. A wonderful place to come and easily overlooked as it does say closed on Google, however that is the cafe attached, not the rooms. I will be back x

Lovely little Bistro, very warm welcome from Jay who was a lovely host, all staff members seemed to have a really lovely manner. There seemed to be a mixture or locals and tourists but no preference was given to one or the other with staff taking time to talk to everyone. We both ordered Lasagne after Jay telling us that it had a fab reputation and a party later that day had almost all ordered Lasagne. There was a bit of a wait but when the food tastes as good as it did you don’t mind the wait. A good portion of Howard’s homemade Lasagne with a couple of slices of garlic bread and a lovely dressed side salad was fantastic and there was not anything left on either of our plates. Thank you, we will be back 👍

Review of the guest house. Checkin is done all online, but hosts have good communication. Rooms are on the small side but cosy. Mattress comfort could be improved. In front of port, so good view, but could also be noisy as lorries pass by. But just close the window and it’s ok.

Had a quick lunch in here while on holiday and it was raining so called in for some lunch. Had tuna and cheese paninis which were nicely served and staff were friendly. Dog friendly too although some doggy drinking bowls would be useful as none were provided.

Great portion sizes, biggest pot of tea I think I've ever seen from a cafe for a fantastic price! The vegan breakfast I had was really well thought out, and beautiful. Loved the allergen labeling system on the menu, made it really easy and gave me confidence in the establishment! Also very refreshing to have multiple vegan options, as well as not charging extra for milk alternatives. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, wonderful atmosphere. Could not reccomned it enough.

Just when we'd given up finding somewhere to get breakfast on an early March Friday morning we found this little gem. Lovely food, great service and so welcoming including for our 2 dogs. Well worth a visit.

A group of us had breakfast at The Beach Hut Cafe and Bistro this morning. We all got something different from the menu and everyone loved their food. The service was excellent - efficient and friendly. Breakfasts were all great value for money and everything on the menu sounded so delicious it was difficult to choose what to order. We all left feeling very happy! Will definitely be back next time we're in the area.
