We live just a couple of minutes away from this chippie. Absolutely love them! Chips are as chips should be, very tasty and hot, lovely pies etc. The staff are friendly, reasonable prices. If you want fish and chips you GET fish and chips! Clean and tidy place too.
Best breakfast baguettes in Appleby. Other sandwiches are very good and good choice of fillings. Also fish & chips pies etc. Very reasonable price. Staff very friendly. Very clean quick service with parking outside.

This shop has the best fish and chips ever. Came here multiple times over the past 3 years and it never disappoints.
I went here years back and I miss it so much. I was a long way from home, working in the village for a few weeks and this is the best all round chip shop I have yet found. The batter is a bit like tempura, light and crispy. Down south we don't have the delightful options of battered haggis or black pudding and rarely a steamed steak and kidney pudding.
If this chip shop relocated to somewhere like Bristol they would make a killing and I could dine like a king again.
I ordered 3 fish, 2 chips and a curry sauce.
Great quality food and great portions with a great atmosphere from the staff. Highly recomended.
A great chippy,made to order, fish and batter were very tasty, would liked to have tried more, but it was our last day.

Lovely Fish & Chips, regular fish was huge and very tasty, just fitted on the dinner plate, batter was crispy & golden, nice chips, mushy peas and curry, just what you need on a Friday or any day!

Pretty good. Fish was tasty and there were just enough chips to fill me up. Couple of my friends ordered large chips and portion size was quite small. Not the usual boat load of chips you'd expect in a chippy.
