It is a great place to stay and relax to enjoy the Yorkshire Dale's. Lovely rooms in a lovely nice pub. Great food and friendly staff, too.
Came away for a solo trip walking in the countryside - definitely going to be retuning at some point and would highly recommend this place for somewhere to stay.
There is not much phone signal there, but free WiFi is available if needed.
Plus, who needs a phone when you come away to relax and enjoy the English countryside 👍👍👍
On our recent visit to the Yorkshire Dales, we enjoyed an evening meal here due to it being the closest pub within walking distance to where we were staying. It is recommended that you make a booking for this pub as it apparently can get very busy, however, when we arrived around 6:00pm it was fairly quiet. Although our table was actually booked for 7:00pm, we were allowed to sit there from when we arrived, even though we did say we wouldn't be ordering food until around 7:00pm, this was no issue. The menu offers a good range of traditional pub dishes, we ordered; the beef and mushroom pie and the fish and chips. When our food arrived, it was nicely presented with great portion sizes, and it was really tasty! The only complaint we had (which is only very minor) is that the mushy peas served with the fish and chips were quite dry and cold, they certainly didn’t taste fresh.. Other than that, the food was great! The service was brilliant, staff were friendly and catered to us promptly. If we ever return to this part of the Yorkshire Dales, we would certainly book at this pub again.
We had a fabulous weekend away at the CB Inn. The staff are so friendly and helpful and it was fabulous coming back from a walk around the Dales to a pint and a roaring fire! They even applied my other half after dinner on his birthday with a beautifully presented birthday cake and a rendition of “Happy Birthday.” Meals were lovely and the room delightfull and I would thoroughly recommend.
Took my parents for a ride out and had lunch at the CB. Have to say it was really good and excellent value! Background Music a tad loud but recommend it highly.
Dropped in for a beer and sandwich while out hiking. Delicious baguette and soup. Very friendly staff
yes nice place in a rural area butnice food and good service, a little bit pricey but if im honest for a sunday lunch £18:95 but my wife said it was very good👍
A lovely inn situated in open moorland with lovely views. A good varied menu.
Yummy food, helpful staff who are up for a laugh! I’ve recently had abdominal surgery which has affected what I can and how much I can eat.. I fancied the cheese board as my main but was a dessert option.
Staff were so helpful and didn’t make me feel strange for asking for this as my main! Well worth the visit for the food & brilliant views over the valley!
Really friendly and welcoming staff, great food and lovely place. I would definitely recommend. Lots of car parking and a real fire! A very enjoyable experience, thank you!
Nb thank you for getting back to my fussy eater email so quickly.
Great place. Not cheap but worth playing for. We had a lovely time staff & food great.
I had the last nip out of the bottle. Same year the RNLI was founded.
Awesome. Best food ever. The chef is an artist. Black pudding croutons! Genius.
Called in for lunch and what a find!!! Just fancied a couple of baguettes and have to say they were fabulous, lovely side salad and a small portion of homemade tomato soup and a portion of vegetable crisps just added to a fantastic taste sensation. Very welcoming staff, roaring fire, highly recommend.
Absolutely lovely.
Food great, accommodation great and area fantastic.
And as we were very wet and tired walkers, the bath was greatly appreciated.
Accommodated our dog.
Would recommend!
We went for a Sunday evening meal and were very impressed. Lovely food and attentive service. Although the roasts looked really nice I had the fish and chips. Perfect. Very nice fish, gorgeous batter and homemade tartare sauce. Croissant bread and butter pudding for dessert was really nice and not too heavy. Full marks.
Had lunch here last Sunday and it was stunning. Beautiful setting, great food and friendly staff. Had the fish and chips which was possibly the best fish and chips I've had. My girlfriend's roast beef was even better!!!
Good food, clean comfortable on suit rooms, friendly and helpful staff.
Lovely place. We've stopped there for coffee, with husband on a motorbike trip. Place seems lovely, coffee was tasty and staff very friendly. Definitely will be popping in again.
Gorgeous pub in a fantastic location. We got stuck in snow and ice just before Christmas, and we couldn't get to our holiday cottage. The owners and staff of The CB Inn took us in and kept us warm and cared for with coffee and use of the WiFi until the roads were clear enough to use again. This, despite a private wedding going on. Can't thank them enough for their great kindness. Thanks all at the CB Inn. Definitely recommend it to everyone.
Great location and views. Old pub on different levels so lots of steps.
Ales were good and the food was fine but nothing special. The Sunday roast portions were generous but other meals seemed pretty small by comparison.
