Summers Restaurant

Horrible experience at this restaurant! I was really excited to visit Summers since I’m such a huge soccer fan and they have great happy hour specials. However, the visit was terrible. A friend and I went to Summers on a Monday to take advantage of their Monday burger deal. From the start, our waiter was horribly rude (to the point where I actually asked my friend if we had ever done anything to this stranger to make him hate us). Still we stayed and both ordered beers and burgers. The beer was fine but when the burgers came out, both of our buns had mold on them! We sent pictures (shown below) to 2 friends of ours who both confirmed it was mold. When the waiter came back my friend politely asked him what was on her bun. He quickly took her plate, saying he “couldn’t really see it,” and raced back to the kitchen. After a few minutes, he came back and said that it was just how the buns were cooked and that he put a new bun on her burger. I then told him that mine had the same thing and actually had to hold my plate so he couldn’t run off with it. We told him that we knew it was mold and didn’t feel safe eating it. To this he responded with a shrug (an actual shrug!) and said that it was just how the bun is and we shouldn’t be worried. I again repeated that we didn’t feel safe eating mold and that just putting a new bun on it didn’t help. Once again, he shrugged and said “well I guess if you won’t eat it then I’ll just take it.” He never once apologized for the gross food he served us. Needless to say we didn’t eat any of the food there and never will! I’ve never met a server who was so rude and casual about serving mold to customers! I would recommend checking your food before you eat here, if you even eat here at all.

A place for soccer, some typical bar food, and big omelets for brunch. Straight forward tap list and wine list with reasonably stocked bar. This place is known for showing any and all soccer games and adjusting their hours for this purpose. I mean what place opens at the crack of dawn for the World Cup? This place. My go to here is the Western omelette on weekends or a great steak and cheese during the week. They also have a burger special Monday.
