Staff were so polite and attentive even though we turned up late, food was absoloutely amazing, cozy decor 100% our new favourite place

Love this place. After a short discussion tonight, ultimately decided that this is the best local Italian we know from choice of food to the service everything is amazing. Also been coming for at least 15 years. Always look forward to a meal when we go. Can't recommend it enough Top class

Took my wife for a lovely meal on Saturday night to mark our 30th year together. the staff were great and also the food, we went here on our first date in October 1993 when it was called the La Nuit will be back soon. Matt and Kathleen

I haven't actually sat in for a meal yet pritty hard between work and kids but get take out often amazing food never been disappointed but I'm plane jane stick to what i know if you like breaded mushrooms you will love the fungi al aglio my kids are so fussy but love the focaccia and formagio bread would definitely recommend

Had a lovely meal on tues chicken dish with mushrooms was outstanding the sauce was amazing a lovely amount on your plate will certainly be back well done chef and the young boy who was the host was very proffessional well done

Absolutely delicious food and friendly attentive service with a smile. We've tried many dishes from the menu and never fail to be impressed, from their delicate buttery bruschetta to pasta with sumptuous sauces and tender meat dishes, I'd recommend them all. Lovely ambience too. Definitely our favourite restaurant and btw their takeaway/ delivery is excellent, fast prompt delivery and piping hot.

Great food, every dish we were served was fresh and tasty, top notch. The two boys who dealt with us were excellent, they were very chatty and cheery as well as professional and attentive. Superb stuff

What can I say? Utterly sumptuous food, completely authentic and not the usual reheated from a batch. Only had takeaway but have been recommended to dine in as locally their reputation is second to none. Staff incredibly polite and friendly. 1st Class.

We went there for dinner on a Saturday night a few months ago. I had really wanted the risotto, as it's one of my favourites, but was surprised to be told by the waiter that it was made in there with basmati rice, not arborio rice, as people here prefer it made that way! So I gave it a miss, as it wouldn't have been an authentic risotto! I had a tuna pasta dish instead, which was quite bland and disappointing. I might've just chosen badly, as the others at my table thought their choices were ok. Shame really, as the waiter service was really good and the restaurant was homely, warm and comfortable. I hate complaining, so I didn't let the staff know I wasn't happy with the food, not sure what could've been done to resolve this anyway. I've seen better choices on menus elsewhere (and I'm not a fussy eater, honestly!) Hoping this review might be helpful for anyone else thinking of going �

Thank you for our fantastic meal tonight. My Dad's mixed grill could have fed all 11 of us! Food was delicious and staff lovely.

Me & my mum popped in yesterday for lunch and I have to say we were both quite surprised by the lovely meal we both had! It was lovely! The waitress was a bit reserved, never engaged much other than asking our order but that's no big deal. I will definitely be passing on good reviews & will be back

Booked Amore for a birthday celebration for my daughters birthday, invited friends as well. Food fabulous, staff lovely and service great. Our friends were really surprised and said they would definitely be back as will we.overall fab night and great restraint . 👍

Visited this restaurant tonight and was very disappointed. Slow service meant a two course dinner with coffee for 5 people took over 3 hours. We were not in a hurry but on arrival we waited 10 minutes before they brought a menu to our table. Staff were unattentive. We sat for ages with empty glasses and had to ask for more drinks. We then had to remind the waiter after about 15 minutes that we had asked for drinks to be replenished. Food was poor. My veal dish had 3 very small pieces of meat. It was advertised as being served with potatoes and veg but I asked for chips in place of potatoes - which was no problem but I was given salad instead of veg which didn't compliment the dish. Steak Rossini came covered in a strange sauce. Seafood risotto was long grain rice with a tomato sauce added and very little seafood. The risott.o was hardly eaten as the rice was undercooked and the taste was not to our liking but staff didn't question why there was so much left on the plate. We didnt complain as we didnt like making a fuss but this restaurant is not cheap so you expect a certain standard which unfortunately it did not meet tonight. I would not be encouraged to return.

Went here with my boyfriend for a date night during the week, we got seated right away and service was very quick. The staff were very courteous and attentive. We both ordered the breaded garlic mushroom and spaghetti carbonara, could not fault any of the food at all. Excellent experience all round and we will definitely be back! :)
