I went in for a carvery and I wasn't disappointed. It was lovely. I got loads of meat and they served proper vegetables. It was hot too.the gravy was proper beef gravy to complement the roast beef.

It's a bit like stepping back in time (in a good way) when you enter the vale. Could it do with a lick of paint inside? Yes, it has a lovely feel inside and the staff were very helpful and polite. The Caribbean food was first rate and strongly recommended.
An overall very pleasant place, where a wide range of drinks can be served, with very professional staff. A place of prestige outside of the busy area of the city. A definitely nice range of foods served during the day and an overall worthy local experience.

We had our silver wedding party at the function room at the Vale last night ,cassie and her team did an amazing job .The buffet food was amazing so much and really good quality..highly recommended.

Nice friendly pub. Had the cavery. Very nice loved the cauliflower cheese. The beef was so tender. Roast potatoes very nice and crispy just as they should be.
Clean comfortable pub, the carvery is very popular especially with the elder generation and its one on my food bucket list for me and the doggie to try.

Always rated the Vale love the Art deco original panels and architecture. Excellent beers and lagers. Food is good excellent carvery. The place as character.
I went there for an event in the room to hire and it was fantastic. The DJ was really good and friendly, food was amazing and the bar service was good as well. Really good experience. Everyone enjoyed the party and had a good time.

Went in with my children for a bite to eat the food was nice and the children enjoyed it as well, service was fast and atmosphere at the time we was there was good. We enjoyed our visit.
