Lovely dog friendly pub. Whole family went for a meal there. I had the the apple and blackberry crumble with custard for pudding it was amazing.Great food and staff were really friendly and helpful.

We had the Sunday roast. I was disappointed with the amount of meat (pork loin) only 2 small slices and tiny roast potatoes. My wife had the turkey and had again 2 slices but they were a decent size. An average meal to be honest.

What a gorgeous find! Great atmosphere, wonderful staff and incredible food! Both Adult and Kids meals were amazing, Couldn't fault it! Deffo worth a visit!

My wife, daughter and I visited Hare & Hounds for the second time on our trip to the Isle of Wight as our first meal here was so good.
The second time was even better. It turns out that a new item had been added to the menu, and I was the first person to have tried it: the Lamb Shank.
The portion size was just right, the meat was perfectly soft and delicious. The gravy, mash, carrots and broccoli perfectly complimented the dish.
I will be looking forward to ordering this again next year when on holiday!
Paula and Sue did a great job of looking after us on each respective visit.

Great fish and chips! Did a very long walk and stopped for lunch at the Hare & Hounds. Ordered fish and chips and my partner had the fish goujons sandwich. Both were really good and the service was great. Enjoyed seeing the tame peacock attempting to come inside!

Me my partner & daughter came here for the first time this evening , and I was blown away by the food the atmosphere the lovely staff! I will be recommending to every one I know also bringing family here when they come over! The food was out of this world the staff were so lovely and kind and could t do enough to make your experience a pleasurable one ! Our visit to the Hare & Hounds pub on the Isle of Wight turned a difficult day into a comforting experience. After a stressful encounter on our cycling trip from a dangerous driver further up the road, we sought refuge here and found a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The pub's rustic charm provided a cozy backdrop, and the staff's genuine concern for our well-being was incredibly reassuring. They made sure we were okay and continuously checked in on us, showing exceptional kindness and care.
Although we didn't have the chance to try the food, the enticing smells coming from the kitchen hinted at delicious offerings. The drinks were reasonably priced.
A delightful surprise was meeting one of the local peacocks, adding a touch of charm to our visit. We're looking forward to returning to explore their menu further and to experience the friendly and accommodating nature of the staff once again. We booked a table on line, via the Green King app, which went very smoothly. On arrival we received a warm welcome and wede show to our allocated table. The staff were very attentive and friendly, particularly Ross, who deserves a special mention. The food and drink were delicious and we had a very enjoyable time. Will definitely be returning.
