I met some old friends here this week. Beautiful place. It wasn't busy so the bar staff were extremely attentive. We had the pate and salt n pepper squid. They were both fantastic choices. I would definitely eat there again. They were also very welcoming to my dog.
Unfortunately, I have not stayed there.
Booked the hotel for two nights as we've been wanting to visit Arundel for some time and the hotel seemed well place. For us it was, as we liked to walk. The locals helped us with route into town and we sussed the rest. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice for our needs. We booked a meal the first night and it was really nice, they catered for my wife as she is a celiac. They even had gluten free beer. Again the staff were great.
Breakfast was lovely with another friendly and helpful breakfast team.
Arundel is a super town to visit, we particularly loved the castle and gardens, but we enjoyed it all. Shops, cafe's and tea rooms were all top notch. Would thoroughly recommend 👌
Have passed this pub so many times - went in on a Friday night and it didn't disappoint. The staff were brilliant, very attentive and welcoming. The food was delicious. It was quite quiet and the inside was not as expected (eg the decor was a little tired in parts) but won't stop us coming back or recommending to others.
Really nice room, staff in Restaurant obliging and knowledgeable. Easy access to Arundel. Cleaning staff friendly and doing a great job, room serviced very well each day.
Stopped for a late breakfast while driving from Southampton to Sittingbourne. I actually drove past and thought, that looks like a nice place and turned back at the next roundabout.
It proved to be a wise decision. Really nice surroundings, great food and excellent, unhurried service. The member of staff who served me was a credit to the place.

Went to my nephew's wedding held at this venue. Everything was perfect from the wedding setting, drinks, service, food etc. Our room was comfortable with tea/coffee tray. A very nice setting, would visit again.
I pulled into the car park because my car’s engine was failing - and I could not have been made more welcome. Everyone was really helpful and friendly. Since it was going to be a while to wait for help, I got myself something to eat - the roast pork loin - which was really delicious, well cooked, well presented, and great value for money. I’ll be coming back sometime, this time by choice!

My wife and me stopped here after getting into rush hour traffic that moved so slowly that we needed a short rest from the madness. We went in initially to make use of the facilities and to get a drink. Parking was ouside the hotel and simple to get into and out of. A smart set of stairs led us to the interior which was neat tidy and well presented. the staff were cheerful and friendy. The toilets were clean and smelled clean too. The inside was well kept and people dining there were happy and had wonderfully tastey looking and smelling food. If we had not eaten a few hours before there is no doubt we would have eaten here and enjoyed it as much as the other customers were doing. With prices similar to the budget hotels but with much nicer buyilding and surrounds we have made a note to stay here next time we go to Arundel for the day. The drinks we aordered were served in very clean glasses (yes I check this after having run a pub for many years in my youth, as this is exceptionally important and shows how well staff care about customers, a full 100% given for some of the clesanest glasses seen in almost a decade!).
If I could i would award six stars because we both felt at home here and want to return in the near future. This is not just a restroom stop for travellers, it is a restaurant and hotel too, worth a visit.

Well what a lovely surprise,
My other half had roast beef, it was beautiful meat so good, everything you could tell was fresh.
I had the walnut and feta salad with fresh asparagus. Simple but done to perfection. Service was very good.
Cant wait to come back for a dinner.
We stopped off for a bite to eat after a long journey. Excellent food & service. Very friendly. Would definitely recommend it.
