Country pub vibes with nice atmosphere. Lots of seating inside and out. Food was good but could do with more vegan options. Facilities were good but no hand towels in the bathroom. Staff were good and attentive to the table, I would advise booking, we went on a Wednesday and it was fairly busy at lunch time
A smashing country pub with a warm welcome from the staff and a comfortable environment to sit and eat. The food was of a good standard without the hefty price tag. Two good, well kept real ales. If I'm in the area again, I will definitely go back.
Dog friendly pub, plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. Friendly staff. Good menu with a choice of potatoes for each dish. Separate pizza menu. Numerous ice cream flavours and four sorbets. Not expensive at under £50, main, desert and drink for two. Saw a review saying the pies were stuffed full. I had the chicken and ham pie, and it was stuffed full with chunks of chicken breast and ham.

We wanted a nice pub lunch on a Monday, and The Spur serves 7 days a week (12-3) for lunch on Monday. The menu is wide and everything looks tasty, plus a great range of proper British puddings.
We had pies and they were amazing, full of meat and really tasty, also love getting a plate of veg and full jug of gravy with a pie.
The place is very big, lots of room to eat comfortably, very friendly staff, and a decent range of beer.
You will not be disappointed if you come here
Hired the skittles room, was a great venu, separate from the main pub. Atmosphere was really made by the group of people, but the room was great for 16 of us, with plenty of space for us all.
The food was good and all served on time, with no one waiting for food, and all our diatry needs were looked after.
Friendly pub, 3 good ales and excellent food. Tables in and out with good shade. Pleasant gardens. A very good drop off or place to go for a meal. Old building looked interesting but I did not have time to investigate it.
One of those places we drive past almost everyday. So glad we stopped by tonight for our evening meal.

Excellent service from landlord, enjoyable meal, allowed us to stay overnight in motorhome in carpark.
Best food we've had in ages!! Everything fresh and home made.The pies and chunky chips are delicious and the icecream so worth tryimg! welcoming friendly staff . Cosy atmosphere. Dog friendly.
The garlic mushrooms were the best I've ever had. And the pie is what a pie is ment to be. full of filling and flavor, husband had the steak pie and I had the minted lamb.
Meat was beautiful tender and not fatty at all

The food was very nice and the service was very good
They serve Directors so they can be forgiven most things. But they have a restaurant area and still they exclude drinkers by reserving tables in the bar area. If it's not a lovely day for the garden it might be worth finding somewhere else for lunch.

Fantastic service and fantastic food, really enjoyed that everything we ordered was handmade by the owners, a family run pub which gave the food so much taste also keeping with the traditional food made it feel almost at home. Really enjoyed it thank you and would glad to call in again.😋😋👍
Great pub! Turned up last minute, just before the kitchen closed but the staff were welcoming and friendly. We had a delicious lunch. This is a lovely find in beautiful countryside.
Lovely pub, elegant restaurant area, good pub food. Nice selection of beer and prompt friendly service. Lots of parking, outdoor area and the bar area is also bright, airy and looks welcoming.
