Under new Ownership since March 2023 and so so much better. The new chef is great, good menu with great choice and all done so well. No more over complicated food done badly.

A warm welcome as soon as I walked in. My food was delicious. Cauliflower teriyaki and chicken goujons. Cooked and seasoned perfectly. Great price with a drink included. I will definitely be back with the tribe.
Definitely not a cheap meal but itās worth the quality in my opinion. Good beer selection, fantastic soup, and very happy with my delicious elevated version of fish and chips. Perfect meal after a long hike!
We came here twice during a short stay in Ashbourne. Once to sit outside and have dinner and drinks, when the food was tasty, service excellent and surroundings very pleasant. The next day we sat inside to watch the women's world cup final- and again, great food and friendly atmosphere. Dog friendl

Food was great, staff didn't seem to have a clue what was going on. Ordered food and before the starter came a waiter asked if we wanted the desert menu. After the starter the girl who took our order asked if we wanted the bill. I said I would prefer my dinner first. Then we were just served a bowl
Mistakes happen, did they accidentally forget about us after we ordered? yes they did, did they admit and apologise for the mistake? Yes they did.

The courtyard restaurant and pub, is located in the heart of Ashbourne Town. There is accommodation located within the building too. As a coupl, we each had a Sunday lunch (2 x 2 Couses) and the Sunday cocktail offer (2 for Ā£15), which we thought was a great price for the quality of food and drink (
Smoothest Latte I've ever tasted. Had a light snack, the Cauliflower and Broccoli š„¦ sublime. Hugo the black Labrador was made very welcome too! Would highly recommend ā¤ļø
Just had one of the best Sunday lunches we have had for a long time. Great menu choices and brilliant service. The new managers and their staff are working hard to revitalise an important part of Ashbournes history. We wish them every success !
Popped in for a quick lunch and were pleasantly surprised. Food was very nice and service was excellent.
Excellent food with efficient and professional service. Very well balanced beetroot & goat cheese starter followed by perfectly cooked roast beef. All made easy with the set price 2 or 3 course priced menu.
We didn't eat this time, just some ice-cream, crisps and a few drinks, staff we excellent, really went out of there way to please. Best service I've had in a while, can't wait to return to try the food.
Ā£10 meal deal- 2 tapas & a pint or glass of wine. Excellent value - great relaxed atmosphere- Fantastic food, couldnāt fault it. Will definitely be back for more.

First visit to this bar/pub, having heard from a friend of mine about the food and drink. I was not disappointed. The food was beautiful as where the staff very friendly professional feel and exactly what I expected. I would recommend this place is there anybody.
