I love this place... possibly the most relaxing cafe in Devon with excellent coffee and staff. if you want lunch they offer the most wonderful crab cakes... by far the best I've ever eaten.

What a cool little bar tucked away in Ashburton town centre. Lovely atmosphere, dimmed lights and candles gave it a good feel. No draught beer, just bottles , no doubt expensive!, but a good choice of spirits and wines. They did small dishes as well. It was busy at 5pm on a Saturday, everybody chilling out and having relaxed conversations. Even got a little beer garden where two women were having a heated discussion. That's where the toilets are unfortunately. But it doesn't detract from a quirky little venue that you must visit....

Today I purchased a soup for a lady selling the big issue from number 14 and asked if they could hand it to her outside as I wasn’t looking for anything from it other than filling a good deed and making someone smile! - after a terrible experience next door with the delicatessen refusing to help. Number 14 was busy, friendly, beautiful and nothing more than helpful! Thankyou very much for not only being friendly but doing it while you were clearly very busy! And also going out of your way to make someone smile! <3

Tranquility Absolutely wonderful setting, peaceful and extremely welcoming. Perhaps some Earl grey tea or a glass of finely selected wine is on your taste buds, along with nibbles. I'd recommend coming here definitely, very pleasant staff. Enjoy

The atmosphere in this bar is lovely especially in the garden during the summer! There are nice little lights amd hodge podge chairs and tables with cushions to sit out and enjoy a pint of cider or a fruity bouquet of wine! 😜 The wine list is good and of course they serve ciders, beers, g&t and snacks and crisps

No.14 is a lovely old-skool wine bar. Friendly atmosphere, daily papers to read, pretty little courtyard out back and excellent coffee. Perfect.

Sweet surroundings and a busy little place... food was average, but pricey. However, atmosphere and staff make the over priced meals easier to swallow.

Had a really nice meal and bottle of wine, just having a cheeky beer now whilst the better half is having a coffee. Really like that the food is from the excellent deli next door.
