Large portions - we had the pineapple fried rice, beef noodle soup and paad Thai. Reasonable standard. Staff were friendly with excellent service.

We had a wonderful time at Ton's Thai.
I would highly reccomend this hidden gem for a lovely evening in Ashburton.

Amazing! My wife and I had a fantastic dining experience at Tons Thai! I couldn't decide so I left the choice to the chef and I was pleasantly surprised when the chef's choice turned out to be the crab salad. The freshness of the crab and the unique blend of flavors in the salad left us speechless. My Wife ordered the chicken peanut sauce which was also a highlight, with the perfect balance of savory and nutty flavors. Overall, Tons Thai exceeded our expectations, and we left with full hearts and satisfied taste buds. We'll definitely be coming back for more!

Wonderful, friendly host. Great food at affordable prices. An absolute asset to Ashburton and beyond. We travel 45 min just to have lunch at Ton's. Well done, to all at a great restaurant.

Was recommended Ton's Thai by a work colleague. Food came out fast, friendly service and good value for money! I got the fried chicken noodle soup and there was so much chicken! Places in the city would only give you about half the amount. We ended up sharing a 3rd dish of soft shell crab (which we probably didn't need as the serving sizes were very generous). The sauce that come with it was absolutely delicious.

Popped in for dinner on the way south. The place was packed on a Wed night.
Delicious food and well priced for the quality. Staff were friendly though the service was a little slow. I'd gladly eat at Ton's Thai again!

Ton’s is definitely my favourite Thai restaurant in New Zealand, I have tried almost all the Thai menu and I always get surprised.
I wait the pay days to come and have dinner here. The relaton between food quality/size and prices are really good, and the staff is always so kind, starting for the owner who is always taking care on the costumers 😋🫰🏼
