Review The Miners Arms Inn - Ashover

First time here. Very nice pub. Menu quite limited but food beautifully cooked. Reason only a 4 re food is down to limited menu - in my case was only 2 options on mains and 0 on desserts that I would eat.

One of the best places to go for a meal Good food at reasonable prices served by excellent staff. We have never had a bad meal there.

The food is typical English fayre. Nicely cooked and plenty of it. (You won't go away feeling hungry). The decor has character with a modern feel to it. If you don't book, you won't get in and usually there's a lengthy waiting list.

Professional friendly service and superb quality local produce cooked to perfection. The best dining experience we've had in Derbyshire over two decades.

We stumbled upon this pub, wow what a gem. Very welcoming staff with some great beers on offer. But best of all honest very well cooked food, with vegetarian options as well. Fresh veg cooked perfectly. very quick service. Will definitely be returning.

An absolutely fabulous place. Great quality food, freshly prepared to order. Staff are warm and welcoming. You will always be assured of the best service and experience possible whenever you visit. Family and child friendly. Not the cheapest of places but entirely justified by the quality of both service and food. Make sure you book though because this place is often full. Recommended.

Phenomenal service & food, a beautiful pub which is sociable but gives enough space for diners to have their privacy. A very special afternoon indeed.

14 of us had booked a lunch at the Miners, 10 of us wanted the fish and chips and mushy peas. They managed to get all of our orders to the table within a couple of minutes all served hot..The battered haddock and chips was the best I have had anytime anywhere period.

The food is always fantastic with a traditional but classic menu. If you appreciate a great fillet, chop or loin this is the place to come. The service from the owner and his team is nothing short of exemplary. Everyone is attentive, courtesy and helpful. Always a pleasure to eat here

3 of us, one an 85 year old friend went for a birthday lunch. Our guest and I started with a spinach filled mushroom topped with cheese and toast. 2 of us then had pork Wellington and 1 cod. We shared plates of carrots, broccoli, cauliflower and chips, boiled potato parsnip and roast potato. Pudding consisted of sherry trifle and coffee. A marvellous meal. The place was full and and booked up until Xmas. It is well worth trying for cancellations however. The staff are very friendly and the premises clean. There are tables outside for summer use and nice walks in the area. Well recommended.

We had Sunday lunch at the Miners Arms and without doubt it was one of the best Sunday lunches we have had. The treacle pudding was just amazing. There is also a good selection of beers and wine although by today's standards the Gin selection was rather limited.
