Review The Durant Arms Hotel & Restaurant - Ashprington

Tim Harris
We just spent 3 nights at the Durant Arms and only have good things to say about the accommodation, food, atmosphere and wonderful staff. Thank you so much for such a friendly welcome, kindness and great food and hospitality! Simon and the team consistently went the extra mile for us and we are very grateful.

Excellent village pub in a great spot. Great range of beers on offer. We are here a few times as we were staying in the village at a holiday cottage. The food was of excellent quality and the service good too. We also visited the beer festival that was on when we were there and we had a great time.

Set in the charming village of Ashprington with a varied menu of good quality food, nice selection of beers and friendly service this place is a winner. It's a genuine pub with a personality, it may feel like a local's haunt but the welcome is warm. You won't find a better place for miles.

Really good food very good service. Called in while on holiday and had a very pleasant experience. Service was second to none and food was as good as you would want, 1 slight mistake with my meal (rump steak with home cut chips) it was served with thin cut fries but was resolved with a big bowl of the home cut chips so no issue . Will definitely be going back there next time we are in the area.

Gorgeous pub in a beautiful village. Friendly and great service. All our Starters and mains were delicious, generous portion, well presented. Only reason not a 5 is that desserts had only 2 options plus an ice cream selection, choices of which weren't listed out. But really great meal, will return.

Great ale festival with a wide range available on a nice sunny day. Didn't eat this time whilst have before and would recommend to anyone interested.

Love going to this pub. Great choice of ciders and beers and interesting choice of food. All in a delightful village accessed by a lovely walk from Totnes with views along the Dart

Lovely ambience and staff. Would love more creative veggie options.. cauliflower cheese and omlete aren’t very exciting. But other food dishes were tasty ☺️
