Top pub good food and staff live open mic on Thursdays everybody welcome
Held our parents' surprise Ruby Wedding Anniversary party here on 11th July and it was brilliant! The buffet was delicious, the staff were helpful, and the room was the perfect size for our 35ish guests. Can't recommend it highly enough. Thanks to everyone at the Sycamore for making it such a special night xx
Had my grans wake here a couple of weeks back, lovely staff great buffet very attentive
Really good pub, very friendly and good quick service, cracking pint of Unicorn (which is very well looked after) and Friday Pie day at the end of the month is fantastic. really good food and a good price.
The best and friendliest English Pub I've been in, always something happening....quiz nights, music nights. A favourite with our family when we all get together on our visits from Australia. I wish that Australian pubs were like this, sadly they're not!
Thank you from the Moorhouse, Marsh and O' Connell families.
Great pub , enjoy the Open Mic Night . Very friendly staff and good ale .
Good beer and wonderfully staff who Do care about the customer's and the pub..
Good atmosphere, lovely staff, work really hard
Love it here. We've played gigs and been to Open Mic nights (and hosted them). The vibe is brill. It feels like our local and we feel so welcome and comfortable.
Had a catch here with my best friend tonight. Had absolutely gorgeous food, wanted to try everything on the menu and the warm and friendly service was first class. Highly recommended. Will definitely come again.
I visited with my friend last night for the first time and we had the fish and chips. Absolutely beautiful food at a very affordable price. The staff and service were fantastic. Looking forward to going again soon.
The new menu and food offerings at the Sycamore are of great quality, size and price
Went for breakfast on the Saturday, great service by the ladies, couldn't do enough for us and the food was very nice.. look to have a very good main menu and Sunday lunch menu too, would recommend..
Lovely warm welcome and a great choice of draught beers.
Dog friendly but still kept on leads etc so they wasnt running wild!
Not tried the food yet but menu looks good with lots to choose from at affordable prices so will defo return and try their Sunday roasts or 2 Fish n Chips for £10 Special they were advertising.
Debbie and the sycamore staff organised a fantastic reception following my Dad's funeral yesterday. From our first meeting to discuss options Debbie and staff were warm and friendly, and on the day she couldn't have done more for us to make things run swimmingly. As mentioned in other reviews the Cheese and onion pie was outstanding, we will definitely be going back to sample again under happier circumstances. There was plenty of food on the buffet and a good variety, we opted for half hot and cold. All my family were very impressed overall and would highly recommend for any function. We had about 35 people in attendance and there were plenty of seats to go around.
Thank you so much Debbie for a job well done 👍
I chose The Sycamore to host my Mum's Wake and I am so pleased I did!!! The room was lovely and a perfect size for our 40 guests. I opted for the 'Half Hot/Half Cold' Buffet - my word - it was absolutely stunning and worthy of a high-class restaurant. The Cheese & Onion Pie and the Hot-Pot were the stand-out favourites amongst all the guests, and although we agreed 3 fillings of sandwiches, they actually included a much larger variety. I thoroughly recommend this venue should you be looking for a function room and also to speak with Debbie who was my contact there. She went out of her way to make the afternoon as comfortable as it could be for me and my guests! My only regret... we do not live closer to return and use this as 'Our Local'. Thank you all at The Sycamore!
Just had a lovely lunch at the Sycamore. We called in for some quick pub grub, and left having eaten sea bass on a bed of new potatoes and asparagus! Which was a lovely surprise. The menu is extensive, and the kids meals are very generous too. Definitely recommend it, and we will be back.
Popped in on a rainy Thursday afternoon.
Service was friendly and personable.
The Homemade cheese and onion pie was delicious.
Highly recommended.
Really nice, friendly local pub. The restaurant is nice as well, really good food and brilliant service. We've been for both breakfast and an evening meal.
