So, I left Maiko Sushi and came to Austin Ale House. I was greeted immediately and my order was taken within 2 minutes. Great job Austin Ale House.

Good food with a solid beer selection.
The chips and guac is 80% chips and 20% guac. Quesadillas are quite good. The service staff is very friendly but can get lost from time to time. Ask for a pitcher of water for your table.
Classic hipster Austin place. I would go again for a good place to have a drink.

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food when we walked in for a quick drink! We came back a couple of days later and tried two different things from the menu. Everything was very good and the service was great! *Disclaimer: we're from Illinois 😉*

I came here on my lunch break. The bartender is heavy handed 😊. If your looking for a pit stop on 6th St. that’s not so crowded ( before 1230pm) then this is it!

Great soul music, juicy Santa Fe burger, wide selection of tap beer. Enjoyable even on a slow Monday lunch. Service was good.

I had a really good time here. Stopped in for lunch and wound up staying probably 5 hours.
Food was good, beer selection was good and people working were really cool.
Also dug the musical selections playing. Will probably stop back in before I leave back to NJ

After walking past Austin Ale House many times, my friends and I finally made plans to hit up their happy hour. A special discounted menu with great drinks and delicious food is your reward if you can get downtown before 7.

This is the kind of place I like. Decent atmosphere, nice service, and a menu that looks pretty good. Only things was the grill cheese that is way to sharp, needs to be served with some soup or change all those cheeses they put in there. Also my burger was a little over cooked which i didn't mind too much.
