Le Soleil Restaurant

I've dined at most of the wonderful Vietnamese establishments in the North Lamar corridor, but I think Le Soleil is my favorite. You can eat alone here, but I think you will kind of miss the point. The place is designed to take a big group of foodies to. Order a bunch of stuff that looks good from the comprehensive menu toshare with everyone. They will bring a feast to your table that is absolutely unmatched by anything I've seen in Austin. I have barely scratched the surface of the menu, and even experienced fans of asian food might find the broad selection a bit challenging. Don't let this stop you. Get here, bring backup so you can try as much stuff as possible. It's all good. The lunch specials are very good and filling, and a departure from your standard chinese combo fare.

I like several Vietnamese restaurants in Austin, but this one is the very best. Everything I have ordered is wonderful. I particularly like their "Tempura Prawns" and "Shaken Beef", but even the oddest dishes have been just great. The service is always friendly and helpful too. I love this place!
