We were in Aviemore for a few days and fancied having something different to eat, after browsing online Cheese & Tomatin seemed to be the number one place in the area. We tried phoning to book but unfortunately the line doesn't work so it is just first come, first served. They are located above the cairngorm mountain sport shop with free parking and a side entrance to access the restaurant. As we entered we were greeted by a friendly waitress who showed us to our table. It felt a really homely restaurant with sofas/chairs, skiing and snowboarding items dotted around to add the feel of Aviemore. It is all table service and with a great selection of pizzas it was hard to pick! They are all handcrafted and taste fantastic, proper pizza base with local ingredients. We were going to takeaway but with the same prices for sitting in we decided to enjoy it overlooking the town centre. Cheese and Tomatin was brilliant, if your in the need for a proper homemade pizza look no further. Will definitely be back!

A great place! Visited twice during my 4-days stay at Aviemore. All the dishes we had were great and very tasty! - Margherita pizza - Lentil soup (soup of the day) + focaccia bread - Chips - Mixed salad - We did not expect much for the pizza but it was very tasty. - The lentil soup was also very tasty and it was the soup of the day. Focaccia bread came with it and it was really good. - The staff members were very friendly. - Nice atmosphere with great views around on the first floor. - There are quite a few parking spaces just outside. If full, there is a public car park (Aviemore car park) right on the opposite side. You can also park at Aviemore Retail Park where there are Aldi, Costa and so on. - You can order through the QR code. (I could not find it in the first place so had to order it at the till but the QR code is attached to a spoon at the table.) - There is no wifi available. Perhaps they might want to consider having a public wifi for ordering through the QR code as 4G/5G did not seem to work so well.

Good menu, pizza was fantastic. Salt & chilli chips are definitely more chilli than salt, you’ve been warned 🥵 service was excellent. It’s a busy place, I was lucky to get a table so I’d recommend booking in advance.

We visited here twice during our trip to the Highlands and each time the food was absolutely perfect. The pizzas are absolutely delicious and authentic. Beautiful crust, undercarriage and flavours. I'd highly recommend the Mediterranean Medley pizza, a perfect blend of sweet and sour from the balsamic vinegar and sunblush tomatoes. Ambience and service were lovely and the staff were very attentive not to mention the stunning views of the Cairngorm mountains. Thank you so much. We'll be back when we're next in the Highlands!

Came here for dinner and breakfast the next day, both were delicious - pizza was high quality and came out so fast, and the pancakes were as good as they come. Friendly service and really nice vibe inside. Would highly recommend :)

Absolutely loved the food there! I got the chorizo breakfast! It was delicious! Service was 10/10 ! Staff was super friendly and kind! We will definitely be coming here again! Side note if you have never been here, you have to go inside the store, and there will be stairs that lead up to the restaurant 😁

Great place for pizza. It's very busy, but the staff do their best to accommodate you, and even phoned us to let us know when a table was available - saved us standing in a queue. The pizzas are delicious. The toppings are quite classical - the only thing which would make it better would be more adventurous toppings - perhaps showcasing local ingredients. Will definitely be back.

THE best pizza I’ve ever had. I can’t explain how good these pizzas are. Simply amazing. Best ever. Staff were brilliant and made us a dip for our crusts. They should add that to their menu, actually. Reasonably priced too. Amazing food.

One of the best pizza places we’ve been to. The cheesy garlic bread is delicious and a steal at £5 (it’s the same size as a pizza). Would definitely recommend and be back again.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. We tried multiple other restaurants in Aviemore but there appeared to be a shortage of chefs while we were there. We decided to go for pizza here which used to be a nice breakfast cafe. There were quite a few options and the pizzas were baked in a big stone oven. We took the dog in with us and got a good table on the balcony. There were plenty of staff which were all very pleasant. Price wasn't too bad either.

An outstanding hidden gem above an outdoors shop. Fantastic wood fired pizzas in a laid back, no frills environment. Pick up a nice beer, some quality pizza and relax with friends after a long hike. I can also thoroughly recommend the Tiramisu which tasted homemade and high quality to finish off your meal. 100% must stop if passing through and your belly is rumbling.

We came in for lunch and had one pizza with chicken, pesto and spinach and one with a double cream base and mushrooms with truffle flavour. The base was excellent and the flavours were really nice. The only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because the cream base pizza was a little runny. Can highly recommend!

This may sound weird, but order their whisky. They have an exclusively bottled Tomatin just for the store and it's the best. Okay maybe after a pizza, which is very delicious, but the whisky... try it

Brilliant pizzas, well worth the wait. Dropped in without booking, they phoned us within 45 minutes to say our table was ready. Great service. Highly recommended.

The pizza was delicious. Lots of varieties, including a Scot (haggis and black pudding). But the restaurant was too busy to sit in, the only way in and out was a narrow staircase. Had to order online, didn't appear to be phone option. And it took longer than the online estimation
